My partner and I had been good customers of ChaChas for well over a year - spending as much as £25 per week. Unfortunately, we've also seen a huge decline in quality over the past few months, hoping it was just a 'blip' but each time becoming ever more disappointed.
In particular, we've been regularly ordering a dish called lamb nihari (there isn't another takeaway in Stockport which delivers this Pakistani dish). Recently the 'slow-cooked' lamb has been tough as old boots, whilst the flavour and consistency of the sauce has gone from thick and tasty to utterly runny and bland.
They've taken to sending the chilli, ginger and coriander in a separate container recently - yet it doesn't taste as though they were in the cooking mix at all however. The past few times they've also managed to completely forget to send the garnish leaving us with a boring tasteless dish.
We've left reviews, contacted them when they've forgotten items (extra popadoms we've paid for invariably never arrive...) and we've found the customer service to be completely substandard and often rude. When I called them the last time to explain all this and ask for a refund for the inedible food, I was told they don't offer customer refunds but would give me 15% off my next order. I explained that we'd been giving them the benefit of the doubt for several months, spend hundreds of pounds there and will not be ordering again from them. Still, no refund - just an explanation that the 'professional' chef is new and they've had no other complaints.
When I reminded them that I had complained on multiple occasions, (including online which was never acknowledged) this was brushed off.
They've really gone down hill lately and it's such a shame given that it used to be our favourite regular treat.
I would strongly recommend you avoid this place like the plague, particularly if you, like me, want high-quality tasty food and customer service which doesn't leave you disappointed. Terrible way to look after your valued customers and...

As students we understand that it isn't always easy to always meet standards so we decided to carry on with the order. We were called by the driver and told we gave the wrong adddress which we didn't and after 20 minutes of speaking to the driver we finally met him 3 minutes from our accommodation. We were then confronted by the driver and told we have the wrong address to which we were shown the same address we gave but the driver was too ignorant and stubborn to admit his mistake. We then said we wanted the food but first wanted to feel how cold it was which is understandable, we decided the food was cold but as we were hungry we didn't care and asked to have the food. He put the food in his car and drove away as we were disappointed with paying full price (which is understabdable). Don't order from these guys, customer service is terrible and the food...

Last Friday I went out to get a takeaway, never went before to this store hence the others around have been always more popular, not only did they did take my order wrong but when I refused to take the food they made, I expected to be refunded back my £10 instead they charged me again another £5! When I realized that they have now stolen £15 - I simply left their store and raised a dispute with the transactions. I also realized that the prices they charge in not the same as their leaflet, they charge an additional £2 minimum for the same menu - they changed their menu, manually with a marker!!. Don't waste you money and time with those people.
