I recently had the pleasure of dining at King Karahi & Tawa, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The tastefully decorated interior added to the overall charm of the place.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. I opted for their breakfast offering, indulging in a plate of Halwa Puri and a serving of Nihari. The flavors were simply outstanding. The Halwa Puri was freshly made, with the puris being light, fluffy, and perfectly fried. The accompanying halwa had a rich and aromatic sweetness that complemented the puris perfectly.

As for the Nihari, it was a true masterpiece. The slow-cooked meat was tender and succulent, infused with a medley of spices that brought out its robust flavors. The accompanying naan was soft and freshly baked, making it an ideal accompaniment to soak up the flavorful gravy.

The service at King Karahi & Tawa was attentive and prompt, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable, offering suggestions and catering to our needs.

Terrible Service and No Commitment to Customers!

We booked a table for 9 people at King Karahi, expecting a decent dining experience. However, when we arrived, they offered us a table right in front of the cooking area, which was filled with smoke. We had kids with us, and the air was so thick that it was hard to breathe.

To make things worse, a staff member approached us, standing uncomfortably close to the women in our group, invading personal space without any consideration. He seemed to be in a hurry to get rid of us rather than offering a proper solution. We thought he might relocate us to a better table, but instead, he simply said "sorry" and opened the door as if he wanted us out.

Honestly, it wasn’t a loss for us, but it was shocking to experience such pathetic service. We work hard for our money and refuse to spend it at a place that treats customers so poorly. Over the past 6–7 years, customer service has declined across many takeaways, but King Karahi is by far one of the worst. Save your money and avoid this place if you expect even basic respect while dining.

Best Experience Ever ! We (family of 8) randomly decided to visit this place as the place we wanted to go to, was closed.

We were so glad we stumbled across this gem of a place, as the food was very flavoursome and hit all the taste buds.

We had a brunch and mixture of Halwa Puri/Chanae/Batorae, another with Prataah n Omlette too and also some Potato Filled Naan.

The portions for Halwa Puree etc was generous and filling. Halwa being really soft and sweetness just right.

The potato filled naan, was the best I ever had and I have tried at many other places. The naan had flavour as well as the filling, brushed with ghee.

I don't really add reviews, but this place certainly deserved one.

As I am from Birmingham, I have tried many halwa puree places and thought they were good, until I stumbled across King Karahi & Tawa.

Service was also very good and clean.
