New Lahori Grill & Tawa — Restaurant in Manchester

We went there today after the reviews on Google which looked impressive. I found it pricey and a long wait. The waitress did not bring the menus to the table. We took it upon ourselves to look at the menu near the counter. The toilet facilities were out of order. First impressions the place looked outdated like we went back in time into the 80's and looked grubby with the typical velvet burgundy beige wallpaper cica 1983 with the chairs to match. The food took over 40 mins to be served and the waitress looked out of her depth as got busy and had to be reminded about items she had forgot as front of house was solely managed by this lady. The food was good but then saw a cockroach crawling on the table. I called over the waitress who found it amusing no apology which I found astonishing and shocking. I observed her talking to her boss but their was no approach or apology. This place needs a serious clean and a inspection from the health inspector before somebody falls seriously ill. I will not recommend this place to my worst enemy be warned and stay clear purely for you and your near and dear ones wellbeing. I wonder what the hygiene rating is for this establishment the food tasted good enough was edible as of today tomorrow will be another day after the cockroroach incident. I am glad this will be the first and last time visiting as I was passing through. I would urge the locals to be wary of these kind of establishments and hope it is not the norm here...

Absolutely shocking. Would give 0 stars if possible. Family of 12 adults and 8 kids. Rang 30mins before and they told us they have space. We arrived and met by a waiter who was not welcoming. We told him we rang before so he said let me check with the boss. Then he came and said what's your order. We'd not even sat down yet so we said wait let us sit down there's 20 of us let us look at the menu and we'll order. Within 5mins he'd been back twice so we said what's your problem here. Since we arrived you've been rushing us as though you want us gone. Turns out he said we only take hourly bookings so whoever agreed on the phone made a mistake so if you don't order now by the following hour the next group will arrive. We told him well that's your fault for not telling us on the phone and not telling us as soon as we arrived. Rather you let us come and sit down and look at the menu now you're telling us. We were so put of we just left. Not a single word from the worker as we walked out and the so called 'boss' was no where to be seen. Also menu shows a pizza but there was no such item on the menu. We ended up going down the road to another place. They just lost £250 and i wouldn't recommend anyone to go here based on the customer service. I can't comment on their food, but their customer service was abysmal, to say the least. It was downright ridiculous. During my dinner visit today, despite the restaurant being very quiet, I found myself waiting for someone to take my order for a frustrating 20-25 minutes, and it seemed like no one cared. Eventually, a staff member approached me with an unfriendly demeanor, asking what I wanted to order. Just as I was about to respond, he abruptly said, "I'll come back to you," and then left to attend to other tasks. Another employee did the same thing, telling me, "I'll get back to you," before getting involved in cleaning duties. Frustrated, I decided to leave and headed to the neighboring restaurant, Lahori Sawad.

At Lahori Sawad, the difference was remarkable. Their customer service was exceptional, and the food was outstanding. This experience motivated me to write this comparative review. When I called Lahori Grill to voice my complaint, instead of offering an apology, they began providing me with weak excuses like, "You were seated in a corner, so we couldn't see you," and so on.
