So I think before I explain the situation I make it clear up until this point I've never had an issue with this place always found the staff fair and friendly and as I Own two shops including one round the corner I can understand there impatience especially in relation to parcels. I'll also think it's worth mentioning in the past I've dropped off parcels and they've been full but they've either took my parcel or told me exactly what time to come back so I have ZER0 issues with that..
My issue is I've ordered 10-15 parcels to this shop on different days so I'm receiving texts every time they are ready to collect.. on Sunday I have two codes the women behind the till writes the codes down on a piece of paper asks my name and returns with two parcels and I leave all in the space of a minute which is excellent service..
I then get two more texts so I go in yesterday and it's a different lady but I've seen her before, I tell her I have two codes and two parcels to pick up she then says.. " give me the first code i can only process one at a time" so she puts the first code into the system passes the info to her colleague and her colleague comes back with 2 parcels, so naturally I think shes obviously just spotted my name so to save time shes brought the second parcel and I can give her the code.. the second women then says the second parcel has expired so needs to be sent back so I say how's that possible I have two codes long story short I then reluctantly get them to check my second code they hadn't yet processed and they come back with another parcel so i slowly figure out that the girl on Sunday likely never processed the codes just wrote them down so she missed one parcel and I would be right in saying that.. she then agrees after constantly repeating it's expired and throwing the parcel on the floor might I add not hard but in the situation a little annoyingly to check my old codes so as I'm pulling up the old codes she's repeating "show me the codes" and I'm explaining I'm trying to figure out which one and she's saying "I can't tell you show me the code"
So eventually I say " your talking to me like I'm an idiot now" she replies "what did you say?" And I repeat myself and then she says
"I'm not talking to you like I'm and idiot but I will now talk to you like your and idiot I don't need this from you"
So there's the escalation I then leave as she refuses to check the code and I think about the situation over the course of the day and my take away point would be
I probably should explained clearly that on Sunday whoever was working wrote the codes on paper unlike yourself so maybe there was 3 to collect rather than 2..
I then go back today conscious of our interaction and my handling of the situation with 4 parcels to collect and she carmly tells me..
"All parcels with your name on I'm refusing and sending back because of how you spoke to me yesterday.. "
So at this point I turn on the voice record setting on my phone because now I'm being done a disservice whilst being acutely aware of the obvious impatience she may have for external issues postage brings up in a corner shop her collegue then whispers im filming her and she refuses to speak and calls secruity to which i leave.
Long winded drawn out but the facts I've had a shop round the corner for 10 years and if my staff acted like that and I was privvy to it I'd be letting them know although I understand nobody wants extra hassle you can't speak down to customers like that especially when you have no idea what there situations are that's could have been medicine passports whatever and it's just all a little daft but I won't be using them again and if anything happens to my parcels or they miraculously go missing on the way back I'll just put it out socially across my...

The older woman behind the till is the most aggressive person I have come across, she was extremely rude and hostile from the moment I walked in the shop (seemingly because I was dropping parcels off which seems to be the biggest inconvenience to her). No hello, how can I help, nothing, just instantly raised her voice and said āif you donāt have your label then get out of the queue I have actual customers I could be servingā.. the Vinted app was literally loading on the screen as she said that, as this was the first ten seconds of me getting to the counter.
She scanned it, barely put the label on, then threw the parcel across the shop to the floor and immediately demanded the next code for the other parcel. No regard for anything fragile or for properly following the proper parcel drop process in general. The second one she just said ādoneā and never put the label on. I was so taken aback, I left the shop as it was the weirdest experience and in my hurry to get out of there, realised I had left the receipt. I went back about a minute later, the receipt was still on the top of the till, as soon as she saw me she ripped it off and chucked to the floor. I had asked if the receipt had both addresses on to which she said āif you can read, you will clearly see both. If you want to read the receipt properlyā. I then had to explain I had just sent the parcel but had forgot my receipt at which point she shouted āohhh well I will have to see what I can do wonāt Iā scoffing and rolling her eyes pretending to look around on the floor for where she literally had just thrown it, and then tried to insinuate that I was being rude, when I was nothing but polite - if anything confused at the whole interaction.
She proceeded to throw the receipt over to counter onto the floor in front of me for me to pick up rather than hand it to me.. I have never experienced such disgusting customer service and such aggressive, rude, abusive behaviour with someone in a customer facing role, honestly bizzare. I waited a week for the tracking to update as it was only showing ādropped at the storeā on the day I went in and nothing further. I have chased with the postal service who advised the courier confirmed it was not at the shop to collect, I called the store to chase and see if there was a mistake and after explaining when I came in, and how many I posted, I asked if they could check in the back. I was told she wouldnāt be checking, clearly it was the same rude woman from behind the till who answered the phone and the response to them not being given to the courier was āhahaha oh really!?.. if itās not gone itās not gone, thatās not my problemā she proceeded to all but admit she deliberately didnāt send them, was so dismissive, she just kept laughing and then hung up.
Very odd woman and extremely poor service, this should not be allowed to continue as a parcel shop for either courier. I have reported to both InPost and Yodel who are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAppalling experience. Somebody bought me a gift on ebay that was delivered to this shop when I was abroad. I called the shop the night before to ask how long they hold parcels and the opening hours. I was taken aback by the rudeness on the phone - was told that she wouldn't answer any questions about deliveries; I had to come in person and she hung up. I called back just to check the opening hours and the phone wasn't answered (until I used a friend's phone with a different number). It's clear that the woman I spoke to sees the pick up service as an enormous annoyance.
I went in person the next day to find that the parcel had already been returned to the sender. So a wasted trip for me on a day when I was already pushed for time. She was even ruder in person than on the phone. I calmly told her that I thought she'd been rude on the phone and was being rude again and she became instantly very angry. I suggested if parcel collection is such a hassle, maybe just don't do it. At that point, she told me I was very aggressive. I really wasn't. I felt sorry for the nice and quiet kid who had looked for the parcel for me. What a terrible example of behaviour to set for a child.
It was almost surreal how unhelpful and unpleasant this experience was. Really contemptuous of somebody who only wanted to complete a transaction that this shop must have...
