ad 10 great value things to do in Norwich – Save this for your next visit! Who says travelling around England has to be expensive? This is such an underrated place to visit and I really enjoyed this short city break, so here are a few activities that’s either free or perfect for travelling on a budget! Tip: Book your @greaterangliauk train up to 12 weeks in advance with a railcard for return tickets from London to Norwich for £13.20! 1. Eat street food at @letsyalm - Food starts from £4. Norwich’s latest food hall with 6 independent kitchens and 3 bars across two floors for all day dining (there’s even a cheese conveyor belt!) 2. Get a taster of 1000 years of Norwich history with a Paul Dickson walking tour. Tickets are £8 pp for 1 hr 45 mins and takes you through the Cathedral Quarter, Elm Hill to Cinema City. 3. Check yourself in for the best night’s sleep at @assembly_house - a Grade I listed Georgian site! Get a luxury experience for less with your room, breakfast, parking AND afternoon tea included from £199 in March! 4. Stroll through Norwich Market and Norwich Lanes (both FREE) for international street food, vintage clothes + breakfast stalls 5. Visit the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts! It’s free admission to see Bacon, Picasso and abstract art 6. Take a walk through the beautiful Elm Hill 7. Enjoy tea, cake and HUGE sandwich meals for £7 from @britons_arms. Big portions, friendly staff and an iconic institution since the 1300s. There are vegan options as well as evening tasting menus from Thurs - Sat 8. Join the queue at @grosvenorfishbar not only for the BEST fish and chips but fried soft shell crab in po’boy sauce, clam burger to cod cheeks. Huge portions, downstairs dining and bookable. I wouldn’t come to Norwich without eating here! 9. Get a strike at @thebowlinghouse for retro 10 pin bowling. There’s also karaoke, a cocktail bar and diner! 10. Sip zero-waste, outrageously good cocktails from @gyreandgimble.uk - drinks are £6 until 9pm @visitengland @visitnorwich #CityofStories #VisitEngland #englandtravel #uktravel #norwich #england #cheaptravel #budgettravel #englandtrip #norwichfood #travel #england #foodtour #norwichlife

The city center with shops and a theater nearby and cherry blossoms around is a lovely place to visit. The combination of shopping, entertainment, and natural beauty makes it an ideal destination for locals and tourists alike. The shops in the area offer a variety of goods, from luxury brands to local artisanal products. The theater provides a range of performances, from plays to musicals, ensuring there's something for everyone. And the cherry blossoms create a stunning backdrop, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Walking around the area, visitors can admire the delicate cherry blossoms in full bloom, offering a serene and picturesque atmosphere. The combination of the city's energy and the tranquility of nature creates a unique experience that should not be missed. Overall, the city center with shops and a theater nearby and cherry blossoms around is a must-visit destination that offers something for everyone.

Fabulous best market in norfolk, you can obtain most things here. Good food stalls also. Sadly i have read in the EDP newspaper that norwich council is going to revamp this market making big changes...WHY? ITS A REAL MARKET its fine as it is with the brightly lit colourful stalls, its a lovely market i hope norwich council are NOT going to do a GREAT YARMOUTH COUNCIL and destroy the market in norwich? Turning it like yarmouth into one ugly unattractive CATTLE SHED and one that may make the Guinness book of RECORDS .. as the most expensive Cattle Shed in europe! A snip at 4.5 million! Quaint old stalls replaced by dreary wooden & hardboard brown huts masquerading as shops lit by florescent lighting its an abomination. As norwich council is led by the same people who has destroyed most of our fine city with non stop road works, cycle lanes that few use, bus lanes like st stevens etc then GOD HELP NORWICH market traders. Norwich is one of the most anti car citys in the uk and they wonder why footfall is dropping? Lol. No if getting lots heavy shopping we elderly cannot carry it all to a bus park and ride etc its...
