Dore Garden Offices Ltd. — Local services in Sheffield

So pleased with my garden office! I was unsure as it was quite a lot of money for me, but I decided to take the plunge after looking at other options and realising that the price was quite competitive.

The service was amazing. I was given updates on progress nearly daily. Originally I was booked in for January but they were able to fit me in in November instead. Since I wasn't expecting them in November I wasn't quite ready, but they took down my existing garage and stored my belongings all at no extra cost and no inconvenience to myself. I was extremely busy and so unable to provide much input or be around, but that was fine because I didn't need to be! I had discussed what I would be using my office for (a studio) and they made adjustments that would suit my need without me having to ask, and the finished result is excellent.

I was fitted with strip lights rather than spot lights, an outside light was fitted and new steps up to my studio were built too. I had provided a drawing and layout of what I wanted and again, with no input from myself, they chose doors and windows that fit in perfectly with what I want, so that I am able to look out at my garden while working but I am not overlooking my neighbours or looking at the fence! I love my new garden office.

DGO installed a Toby XL for us to free up our back bedroom for our new arrival. We're thrilled with it. It blends in nicely in our garden and doesn't take over. It's warm, secure, and a good interior space (room for a desk, bookcase, and a comfy chair). It's very well finished and looks great. Adam and his team were very professional, and when there were (small) problems Adam rectified them straight away. I can't yet comment on the heating, as it's summer and I've not needed it. Overall, delighted with it and would recommend DGO if you're looking for something like this.

Update December 2023: Continue to be delighted with the office. The underfloor heating is inexpensive to run, but keeps the office nice and cosy. I had a problem with one of the window panes, and Adam came out and replaced it without any hassle....

The DGO team just finished my Toby - in less time than expected.

Everyone involved seemed to be an expert in what they do and work together well (and are really lovely). I particularly appreciated the in-person site visits in advance to discuss my needs and agree a plan. Email communication was also clear and thoughtful.

The end result looks very professional. The internet extension is working too so I can't wait to move my desk in as soon as I've painted the interior. I feel confident in being able to reach out in case any issues arise (though I don't expect them to!)
