BEWARE OF PARKING. A few large stores to go around, The Range and B&M being my favourite. A large Iceland for food shopping, Jolley's Pet Store, Large Hobby Craft, a new large Poundland too. A few places to eat, B&M cafe, Macdonalds, Pizza Hut and a new Greggs. A WORD OF WARNING. Don't presume you can have an afternoon eating and shopping there, you don't have enough time. Free parking is not long enough for a retail park this size. If you over stay approx a week later you will get a charge of £50 through the post, regardless of your circumstances any appeal will be refused. Operator is G24 (Private Parking Company so this is not really a fine but a parking charge) a terrible company for communicating with and seem to do whatever they can to hinder any further appeal process that they themselves sign post you to, they did not contact me regarding my appeal decision and even though I contacted them and ask that my details be uploaded to the Independant Appeals Service, I could still not appeal as my details were not being recognised. I could not appeal. I suspect they were never uploaded to drag out the process and allow them to add further charges. It does seem like a bit of a parking scam is being run, yes there are signs but most people presume it's free because Meadowhall is unlimited free parking for shoppers and think Meadowhall Retail Park is the same. I think the free parking time needs to be extended because of the size of the retail park but unlikely because they are making money out of...
Read moreGood place for specific things, I like the Range and B&M for value homewares etc. The shops are all big enough to have a great product range.
There are empty units regularly... the carpet store has gone recently which is a shame. Also, I find myself wanting to move the car between stores to save my energy... its not where you want to spend your strolls! It might put me off coming if I had no car, even with the tram stopon the edge.
The shops are across the car park from the eateries, which are the only places I know with public toilets.
If it had a face-lift, public toilets in one of the shop units, and wider paths between the shops, more trees for shade and to reduce the tarmac greyness, give it some cleaner air... these would...
Read morePlenty of parking although be careful how long you intend on being in the carpark. There are anpr cameras right at the entrance and the same at the exit. 3 hours is the maximum time between entering and exiting before you get a nice little fine sent in the post (£100) my Mums car wouldn't start when she was ready to leave here once and she went over the time limit by 25 minutes. We emailed and phoned all the numbers we could find proactively before a fine arrived in the post but she still received one. B*ds...
Something I've learnt since tho if your struggling to find anywhere else to park. Just cover a letter or 2 on ya number plates up with a cloth before you leave and you you'll...
