Want to start this off with i wanted to give - 0 stars but no option for that Now will give you my reasons I was diagnosed with motor neurone disease on 6th of June They give me on average a year to live I've lost use in my left arm and most use in left leg and voice is going. So can't move much and emotions are uncontrollable So when found out results family wanted To spend as much time with me So thought a trip to London see museums London eye and so on Plenty of time with son ' daughter's and grandchildren So son booked train daughter booked accommodation Bought accessible tickets and accessible for train told could use scooter Got up on day got to Rotherham great staff got me on train no problem Got to meadowhall station got help off Then staff said might have problem with rest of your journey we said why it's a scooter we said Rotherham didn't have a problem So we proceeded to platform to board They got ramp ready let family on Then the male staff who spoke to us when we got off train joined the male staff for Northern rail Stood together with ramp and said can't Let you on you haven't got a permit Can I have one please No you have to apply we will send you one in post so I can't travel I got here by train Yer and we will be reporting Rotherham for letting you So why was it ok when I applied for accessible train ticket and accessible train help Well should have dismantled scooter ready to late now So why wasn't i told It's Northern rail policy your turning circle isn't enough to get on train But I got on other to come here ok Well too late now train has to go Then emotions went on one couldn't breathe wife had to help Then no help from staff had to get accessible taxi back to Rotherham train station tranfer scooter back in car Which by then didn't want to go but didn't want to disappoint grandchildren So got home wife took scooter out put wheelchair in car drove to Doncaster to get joint train but missed it by 1 minute So had to pay more money to get tickets Changed to different time While waiting they asked why we were late so explained why Staffs face said it all they said should of come straight here wouldn't of been a problem So moral of the story don't go to meadowhall if them Northern rail staff are working Was my first train journey since diagnosed Don't want to go again will find alternate Transport or stay home Can't go...
