I am extremely disappointed with Oseyo’s new Sheffield store opening today.
Their promotion stated that the first 100 customers spending £10 or more would receive a free VIP bag. Nowhere in the advertisement did it mention that the offer was restricted to adults only.
I went to the shop with my daughter and we queued outside from 8:30am in the cold, wet, and stormy weather, waiting patiently until the doors opened at 10am. My daughter was also there to shop for herself and willing to spend £10 or more. However, when we entered, the staff refused to give her a redeem ticket simply because she is not an adult. This was never stated in any of Oseyo’s marketing or promotional materials.
It is completely unfair that she was excluded from the offer after queuing for so long in terrible weather. Children are also customers—they make purchases, they wait in line, and they endure the same conditions as everyone else. To deny them without any prior notice feels misleading and disrespectful.
This experience has left us with a very negative impression of Oseyo. If you promote an offer, you must be transparent about the rules. Otherwise, customers waste their time and feel cheated.
I want to warn others to be very cautious about Oseyo’s so-called promotions. They clearly do not deliver what they advertise, and families especially should think twice before putting children through such experiences for nothing.
This kind of treatment is...
Read moreI went to Osayo recently and left really disappointed. They refused my payment because they’re card only, and no one mentioned that until I got to the till. I had cash ready and was just sent away. It feels unfair, especially since not everyone has a card — students and younger people, for example.
There were only one or two checkouts closed and quite a long queue, so I don’t really buy the whole “speed and efficiency” argument. Even with limited space, they could easily make one till cash-friendly. Other shops, like Lidl, have machines that check notes automatically, so it’s definitely possible.
I get wanting to reduce fraud, but refusing cash altogether just makes things harder and inconveniant for customers. The least they could do is put up a clear sign before you...

Decided to wait a few weeks till the hype first down and it paid off
Fully stocked of Korean and Asian products.
Very good reasonable prices although a few items were more on the expensive side compared to other local supermarkets.
The queue to pay... Whilst it looked horrendous it went very quick!
As I have been to Manchester branch many times before I assumed it was card payment only which it was
Would go back and recommend... But as the negative reviews mention it is card...
