Glenmore Guesthouse — Hotel in Southampton

I booked this place for one night only to ensure that I was at Southampton port bright and early on the following day for my cruise.|WOW what a fantastic, pleasant and comfortable stay. This is economically priced but not stingy on quality. |The hotel presents itself as a Victorian style frontage and has tons of character and charm. When inside I was greeted and made to feel very welcome from the start. Space was provided for my luggage (I had lots of it) at no extra charge or I could take it all to my room if I wanted.|Internet was included in the price and a passcode was given on arrival, this worked perfectly in my room and everywhere else in the building.|The bedroom was clean and fresh and came with a fully working wall mounted tv on which I was able to enjoy a good movie again at no additional cost. |The bed was superb and a good night sleep was had.|Breakfast was in a very well laid out dinning room with ample space for all residents.|I opted for the full English breakfast that included toast, coffee, orange juice and cereals. This came at a very modest £5 charge but let’s be honest where are you going to get a full English breakfast with all the extras in Southampton for a fiver?|Conclusion |I am fully refreshed and fit for my onward travel. So a massive thumbs up for the staff at GLENMORE...

Fantastic value little b&b, will definitely use again. Excellent price & location. Paid just £40 for my 1 night stay in a single ensuite room. Had everything I required & all clean & tidy. Checked in very easily with a nice lady, breakfast offered for just an extra £5 if needed. Some rooms are ensuite like mine was, others are with shared bathrooms for an even cheaper rate. I saw 3 shared bathrooms when coming & going so definitely enough facilities there if you are sharing with others (all looked very clean & hygienic too). Hotel is only a couple of mins walk from Southampton central train station so very easy access to there. Also extremely close to the lovely Mayflower Theatre which is where I was going, and an easy enough stroll into the town centre. Hotel has onsite parking if required. For just £40 a night in such a good location to everything & a nice comfy quiet nights sleep, this little place is a bargain. Keep up the good work & I'll see you again next time....
