Today was a special day for us as we had just registered our newborn and decided to head to the Grind Coffee Lounge for a coffee and a sandwich. My wife placed our order, and we sat down with our coffees, brownie, scone and waited for our bacon and sausage and tuna melt sandwich to arrive in the next few minutes. Thirty-five minutes had gone past and still no sandwiches. I went up and asked the lady who had taken the order when would we get our food. She rudely shot back, your wife never made an order, and I never took an order for £20 today. Her customer service was despicable and unprofessional. She made us feel like we were fabricating the whole thing up. She was condescending and adamant that we were wrong and that she couldn't help us. I guess she must have realised that she had made a mistake, she offered to give us £7 for the sandwiches and then made a sarcastic comment that it would have to come out of her pocket. This lady Represents your Cafe and Brand. It's Appalling and disappointing. Sadly, you lost a customer today. I have added screenshots from my bank account as per the charge of £20.91 from the Grind Coffee Lounge today 7 January 2022.

I've been to the other grind locations and had no issues, always had friendly staff, today was the first time in the one in the Ridings near peacocks. I think this is my favourite one, it is kind of dark but very cosy and relaxing, the chairs are also very comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. They have good selection of Twinnings tea (reasonably priced) and Yorkshire tea so I am happy as sometimes coffee shops neglect the tea selection, also did not scald my tea so another win there as again, lots of coffee shops do.

This was a highly pleasant restaurant to dine in at, where a menu is shown on a classic blackboard and sweet snacks are all laid out together! The location is convenient in the Ridings Shopping Centre and the staff were nice, serving me a yummy Cherry Bakewell tart priced reasonably. I sat at a clean table comfortably with my friends, who also enjoyed their snacks!

This review is based on the upper grind cafe in the ridings centre as there is 2 . No problems at the bottom one however I went for a breakfast the other day at the top one firstly I noticed the smears of grease on the plates where they placed the coffee mugs , then I was given a spoon so badly stained it was almost black I asked for another and it was the same !! Obviously been left for a long time before being washed . I found the staff to be attitudistic with faces like slapped arses and then to top it off just as was eating my food a man came and vomited all over the floor near to where I was eating !! Needless to say that was the end for me I had to leave without my breakfast . 15 quid down the drain would...

Review is based on the downstairs Grind Cafe in the Ridings. Went in for some food, upon ordering requested a glass to take my tablets. Blonde middle aged lady behind the counter very rudely looked at me and said why you haven’t bought a drink, explained I had some water in my bag to take my tablets. She refused to give me a glass due to not buying a drink instore but purchased food. Advised her I’ve never had a issue before and visit weekly. Slammed the number down for food, asked for the money with no manners and shook her head as she walked off. Shocking customer service, shouldn’t be questioned why I need a glass/cup and won’t be returning. All tables will full of dirty trays but staff stood about and...
