First of all I usually don’t leave a review for customer service on retail. I have worked in retail and know how difficult it can be but today was ridiculous. Upon entering the store I was not greeted or acknowledged by the employees at the front, no big deal other than both were on their phones. I found what I was looking for but needed help because it was on a top shelf and the sign said “asked for assistance”. I couldn’t find anyone so went to the front and one employee was checking out and the other sitting on a bench on her phone. When I said I needed help to the one on her phone.
Her: Oh I can’t get that, let me call “so-n-so”.
I went back and “so-n-so” was helping someone else. I went to look around to give them time. When I came back I couldn’t find anyone so went back to the front. The one girl was on her phone and I told her I couldn’t find “so-n-so”. Her reply, “she’s gone home and I thought she already helped you”.
Me: no because she was busy. Her: I guess I can try to get it.
I helped her get it down, never offered to take it to the front because it wouldn’t fit in the basket. It was not heavy but large. I was able to get to the check out after 2 trips, one with the basket and the other with the light weight large item.

Came here to buy some regular art supplies (acrylic paint, chalkboards). Was directed to self-checkout by the cashier standing at the front. She walked around the counter to physically put her hands on the reusable bags I set on the counter. I asked her if she needed anything and she said no. Then, she walked around me and began touching the self-checkout screen. I did not ask for directions, nor am I vision-impaired, nor is the self-checkout screen difficult to navigate. I let the cashier know that I had used a self-checkout lane before and she then stood in front of her register to intently watch me. She did not say anything and did not even say goodbye as I walked past her register to exit the store. She did not have a customer at her station.
If it requires this much work to monitor self-checkout, it would make far more sense to pay someone to constructively interact...
Read moreThis craft store is definitely the superior one in town. Although they are not as big as their competition, they excel in many areas such as cleanliness, staffing, and overall atmosphere. The employees are always so friendly and nice. The cashiers are always willing to take time to help you and take care of you. The store is always very neat, organized and easy to find things. The inventory is always on point. Even when they are very busy and a long line has formed, the cashier always immediately call for back up and together the team breaks the line as quickly as possible. They make customers a priority.
