Bought a used controller and two games for my new switch, was told all used items are tested and in working order before I purchased it and I was told if there was any issues at all I could return it for store credit.
Got home tried to connect the controller to my switch, controller turned on but wouldn't pair, the interior reset button was/is broken.
Wanted to exchange the games and controllers for store credit, my wife threw away the recipet on accident as the recipet was in the bag. But all tags were still on the products.
Even brought in my switch and let them test the controller and observe that it had no markings or any indications at all that I had dropped it or damaged it in any way.
Was told they would take the games but couldn't take the controller because I didn't have the recipet. How does this make any since at all?
So no recipet they can take the games, and give me store credit but not the 45$ broken controller they sold me. It still had the tags and bar code on the controller for crying out loud.
I called another local game x change- Shawnee and spoke with a manager who told me if it was his store he could look up the recipet and give me a refund if it had happened at his store.
What a rip off. I'm a life long customer of game X change and I own most every system there is including the retro ones and a switch, one x, series x, ps5, ps4 pro, gaming laptop, desktops, and this is how I'm being treated. Unlikely I'll ever spend another dollar with this company and will be calling corporate offices on Monday morning. Also behind the counter is a disaster, totally unprofessional mess.

   Read moreI needed an item for my ps2 to convert the image to a higher resolution. I went to this establishment hoping for a ome part, but they didn't have it so I got a converter instead. Before I made my purchase I specifically asked the seller if I could return the item if it didn't work as expected. I needed high resolution and I wanted an honest customer service interaction stating this item would provide me with what I needed. He stated yes, I could return the item within 30 days with the receipt.
Well it didn't work, the image wouldn't load properly, and the item wasn't working as expected. I don't believe it's defective it's probably my TV. So a couple days later I walk in with the item packed up and the receipt. To my surprise I was told the item was not returnable. Yet just a few days ago I was told by a different employee that I could return it. I wouldn't have made this purchase if I would have know it was non returnable. It's $30 of my money wasted. I hope that the owner or manager will reach out to me to make this right.
Do not buy anything from them if they cannot honor something as simple as this then I wouldn't trust them one bit to buy any gaming systems or...
