Let me start by saying that I am a restaurant manager, I have been in the industry for nearly 15 years. I know service, hospitality, and have taken countless food safety courses. I am horrified by the treatment of my sister, who has also been in the service industry and knows the protocols and procedures that are important to public health safety. Not only was her husband served wasabi that was old, brown, and crusty, when asked for new wasabi they brought out the same wasabi, they had just scraped off the outer layer. They finished their meal, paid out, and then went home with a lackluster experience. When they got home, her husband and her both started to feel sick, a sign of food poisoning. They called the restaurant and were not trying to get anything out of it other than informing the restaurant that they were sick so that they could limit any other exposure to the public. They were met with a “then don’t come back” attitude from the manager. I have taken many food safety certification classes - a manager is obligated to document the complaint, inform the health department, and investigate the cause(s). Since I doubt that they will call themselves, I will be doing so tomorrow. Then to boot, a few hours later her husband had vomited 3 times, so he called back, with no answer. Called again no answer. Called again and on the other line he was met with a police officer who told him that he needed to stop calling based on the restaurant’s description of the incident. The restaurant had called the police because he was trying to do the right thing and they were adept to handle the problem? An issue that they should be trained and certified to handle? I’m actually so appalled that I’m taking to a platform that I have never used before to make others aware. I’d hate for anyone else to be treated in the manner...
Read moreIF I COULD I WOULD PUT ZERO STARS Ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi and thought it was pleasant. Ate 1/3 of the plate and got a to-go box to take home. After putting all the food into the box I found a hair on the plate so I got one of the owners to come inspect it and she saw the hair and quickly brushed the hair off with her fingers like she didn't see it and tried to say it was part of the dish(the part she was pointing at was white and couldn't be mistaken as a hair), then rushed and washed the plate off. We went to pay to see if there was someone we could talk to and the other owner came to the front and said the lady said it was just the sauce on the dish. There were two different stories told about what the objects on the plate were and they kept talking over us and cutting us off from speaking about what we saw. The hair could not be mistaken for anything we had on the table, and the hair was under all the food stuck on the plate so it couldn't have been our hair. They did not try to compromise or get us fresh food, instead brushed us off and we had to pay $42 for infected food that we...
Read morePrices were decent and portions were very large. I ordered the Hibachi Steak which came with clear soup a salad, fried rice and Hibachi vegetables and steak. They cook the steak to order.
My food came out pretty quickly, by the time I had finished the soup and salad my food was almost ready. Everything had excellent flavor, and the dipping sauces for the hibachi we're very good.
I had enough food that I ended up taking a small box to go which I finished back at the hotel room later that evening.
In addition to the Hibachi, they have a very large variety of sushi rolls and nigiri. Many of them are priced between 4 and $8 for small servings or nigiri and $12 to $15 for rolls. They also offer some large meals for the table to share, and some meals that contain a variety of items.
The total for my meal, drink and a 13% tip was $20. You can expect to spend somewhere between 20 to $30 per person but there are some items that cost more than that by them self. I would consider eating here again when passing through town. For the portion sizes, quality of food and variety it was definitely...
