Just don’t! I personally feel like due to my insurance, I was passed off to another facility. MyDentist is my only in-network provider in this area. All I needed was one extraction. After reading the reviews of this facility as well as the website, it is very clear they do extractions in house. Mine was a very simple extraction. Unfortunately who they referred me to did not take my insurance. I requested for them to provide an authorization form to my insurance company to see if the out of network provider I was referred to could get covered. The form was never sent. I called several times requesting it be sent. I then called the office and asked why my one tooth extraction would not be done. They would not provide me an adequate answer. Ultimately they said it is the dentist’s choice. I finally went to the OU dental. OU dental looked at me and couldn’t understand why I was referred out. A couple locals into my gums, and my one tooth was pulled! That simple! I felt discriminated against by My Dentist. After I finally had my tooth pulled out by OU, I called back to MyDentist and asked if they did simple extractions as it stated on the website and the reviews. The receptionist confirmed the office did extractions. Complete waste of time but they sure double billed my insurance for my first visit, X-rays, etc.
Also, my first visit was scheduled for 10:30am. Two days before my appointment, they called me and told me the dentist needed to change my appointment to 8:30 AM. I advised them I would not be able to do that since I had children to drop off at school. I advised them the earliest I could be there would be 845. The scheduler said she would get back with me to see if that would work for the dentist. No one got back with me so the next day I called and I was told that they had written in the notes that it would be OK for me to be 15 minutes late for my appointment. Normally they don’t allow people to be late, but they would make an exception.
What???????
The facility called to schedule me for a time I could not come to, but yet they marked it in my chart as me being late.
Not a really great way to run a business!!! I wish another provider in this area took...
Read moreMy children and I all go to this dentist and have gone here for a very long time. Every time we go we always have a pleasant experience. My complaint would be how it is ran. I had my daughter's teeth cleaning scheduled, got a reminder and confirmed the appointment. I also scheduled her a hearing test that had to be done before surgery for after that. Then they call me the day before and tell me that my time is a different time then what I was already scheduled and what I got a text reminding me of my appointment. So I clarified. I didn't want to reschedule be cause they had already canceled my cleaning and moved it 3 months out because they had a hygienist quit. I was able to make both appointments barely but I also let them know that they should let their patients know instead of just changing their appointments to suit their schedule. My son had to wait 3 more months because they don't do them on Fridays and he's only home on the weekends and holiday weeks during the school year. Fast Forward to this appointment my son's next teeth cleaning was scheduled for 4:10, 3 months in advance. They call me the DAY OF the appointment after confirming the time and tell me that they now close at 4:30 and they can get him in at 2:30. So, now my fiance had to leave work early to make sure he made it or he would've had to wait even longer for this same appointment. Then at 1:50 I get another call from their office and they are calling to tell me they are ready for him. I found it highly annoying. Like you're not the only people that...
Read more1.they called me about scheduling a cleaning 2.I rescheduled for a later date because of a cold 3.I go about a week later and was told I needed to call before coming in the lobby. They could have said something about that it the 6 text messages they sent reminding me about my appointment. Instead they expect you to walk up to the door and stand in the cold weather to read a sign on the front door. Not that hard but irritating that it takes an entire paragraph for them to say (do not enter. Call this number if you are for an appointment) not gonna stand there and read a book in the cold. I was told so we are doing these fillings today and given the amount I needed to pay and thank god I have savings since it was supposed to be a cleaning only. She didn't remember anything thing about what we had talked about on the phone when scheduling the appointment. Should had made notes in my file at least. I gave in just to get it over with, the dentist did his job The assistant and receptionist only got on my nerves from there to the point that I (probably the most passive person in the world)told them to give me the paper to sign for next time even though it may be wrong just so I could leave.
I need to find a different dentist in my area that takes my insurance because this is the worst dentist office I've been to. Dentist is fine but he definitely needs better helpers that know and can communicate/take better notes or at least get the...
