I came here just to visit the thrift stores and the Safeway. First off I came here on Memorial Day weekend to the Unique Thrift store and the manager (African American short lady) watches you as if you stole something. I had to stop myself and ask her "Is there a problem, then she walked off". The next time I won't be so polite. Afterwards I made my way over to Safeway to grab a quick bite to eat before I jumped back on the road to make the hour trip back home. Once in Safeway, I noticed they had Cheddar and Broccoli soup near the hot bar for $4.99 for the large cup. I started to fill my cup and noticed that there was not enough soup left to fill my soup container. I walked over to the hot food bar and asked the young lady if she had any more soup. She told me that she is not the one to fill up the soup. She didn't even try to page a store manager or anything to have it refilled and mind you it was only 1pm. I then went to the register and asked my cashier to call his manager so that I could either be discounted as my container was not full or if they had more soup somewhere. The female manager on duty was like NO. She was beyond rude. Then I stated out loud "I am going to provide corporate a call because there is no way this store is not monitoring the food that they put out, there's just no way". Then a guy manager came over and gave me $2 dollars off. No apology for running out of soup, no looking for more soup, just nothing. I suggest managers at this location needs better training in customer service and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are two Thrift stores in this Shopping Center, next door to each other, Unique and Value Village. They both have great price for their items. Unique seems to be a bit cheaper than Value Village. They are some how connected. They both have a large selection of clothing, housewares, books, bedding, toys, and jewelry. They also have furniture. Don't sleep on this place, it is truly a gem. Then there is the Safeway which is one of the cleanest Safeway I've been in. The store is always stocked with see items, th cashiers are friendly and helpful, and you see people working. They have bathrooms if you need to use one. They have a huge floral department with beautiful arrangements. I stop in there every time I go to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI feel like a jerk writing this review but the truth is the truth. I moved to the area a year ago. It's a disappointing shopping experience but the employees really try. The clientele are the real downer. Maryland is a Sanctuary State. Unfortunately the result is rudeness, erratic driving, thievery, and what should be a beautiful bedroom community shopping plaza is a husk of what it should be. I do everything via delivery to avoid the locals and...
