I am so thankful that this new store is down the road from me now! And it is SO much bigger than it's old location. It's very, very new so it's really clean and the sections are easy to find. There is tons of room in the aisles so you don't feel cramped in when it's busy. They have a couple seating areas but I do wish they had more.
On thing I wish they would work on is their horror section. A lot of the books I wanted weren't available (3 of the 4 I wanted) and that was frustrating... But the ladies who worked there are really kind and they did offer to ship to me for free but I'm the type of person who wants the book NOW. That's why I go INTO the store otherwise I would order it in advance. They do have a great selection of new releases and popular books which is great but as someone who reads mainly horror - I do hope they consider adding more to their selection and making sure to have books in stock that aren't there. They have a lot of great editions of books which is nice and they do have a fantastic sales section (2 rows of books on sale but a table or two) so it can be very affordable for those who can't afford to buy new release books which I appreciate. The sales associates are SO kind and always smiling and helpful and that's refreshing to see in today's world where a lot of young adults seem to hate having to go to work. Then again it is a store full of books so I get why they are so happy to be there. All I would recommend is adding to the horror selection and making sure out of stock books are restocked so I don't have to drive to Augusta to pick up from Barnes and Noble but I understand that I am in a minority and not everyone reads mainly horror. If you're a bookish nerd like me and don't want to drive all the way out to Augusta I 10/10 recommend stopping by to see the new location.. more than likely you will find what you're looking for and will have a pleasant experience.
Oh, and one more wish is that they would add to their stationary collection. I wish they carried more planners and planners with TRP paper like Hobonichi. We just don't have any stationary shops around this area and I would appreciate having the option of more items available like Barnes and Noble. Wonderful establishment and I'm thankful to have one...
Read moreHonestly wasn't a huge fan. Felt like the books were more about putting them on display than actually reading them. There was FAR too many Bibles and only one little section of alternative religions or philosophies. It was really difficult to navigate and find authors I am interested in. Was looking for John Green books and kind of just gave up. I guess all the books looked like they'd be great on someone's shelf. The store was new and clean. It's looked put together well, but overall, I don't see myself going back there for my book needs.
If you like Cards, Board Games, The Bible, and Manga then it'll be a great place for you. Thus I think it deserves a 4 star because it definitely will appeal to a demographic, I...
Read moreLove the new location but very disappointed compared to the store on Whiskey. None of the four employees at the register bothered to greet us. They were busy chatting and playing with one woman's braid. Customers had to go up and ask for help. One woman was shrugged off after they search for a book not more than a minute. Book series are split in locations. One book we found up front was also in the back on sale much cheaper. Be sure to look there first. After a long line formed a second register was finally opened. It was clean. I know this store...
