About a week ago, my sister and I decided to try Petco's grooming for the first time. We had called to set an appointment a few days ahead of time. A man had picked up the phone (presumably the manager) and told us that the woman in the grooming center was busy. We left him our names, numbers, and our dogs' names for the groomer, just as he had asked, but no one returned our calls. Two days later we called the grooming center again just to see if we could confirm an appointment and we finally got booked for a decent time.
Both of our dogs were to be washed. My sister's dog was supposed the get a full haircut cut. My dog was supposed to get his nails trimmed, ears cleaned, anal gland emptied, and teeth brushed. When we picked them up, we had noticed that my sister's dog was washed and trimmed but still had much of her hair on her neck area and had a few scabs on her back. My dog was also washed and his teeth were brushed but still had filthy ears and most his nails were cut. It wasn't until recently when he came into the house constantly licking his paw after running outside when I had noticed that his dew claw was so long that when he ran it had almost pulled away from his paw. Had the groomer done her job fully, he wouldn't have had this injury to begin with.
I dunno about my sister, but I'm definitely sticking with...
Read moreI had an appointment today for my elderly dog in Misha with Oren. The last time I had her groomed, Oren stated that they were going to have to refer her out because of her age and health conditions. I called Oren a few weeks after to find out if they were able to refer her out to someone and ask did he give me a call to confirm. I did not hear anything back from Oren or the store so I made an appointment for Misha for a grooming. I received two text messages, confirming the grooming appointment for Misha. When I got to the store today, they said they could not take her because she was going to have to be referred out. I asked if they were able to find a place for her and they said that they did not do that. I explained to them to use different language instead of “we (the store) we’ll have to refer her out” , and just simply say we can’t take her anymore. The store also never called back before I took the large part of my day to get my dog there for a grooming, stating that they probably never got the voicemail because they are busy. I understand that there may be instances where they cannot take an animal any longer, but my recommendation is just communicate this better and...
Read moreMe and my family came to this location looking for a leash for our Yorkie Buttercup. We ask Caleb for help … all our questions was answered but what we needed was someone who could be more hands on to actually get that help to point out and kinda guide us on the matter. That’s when we went up to ask for help properly after being just giving answered from afar. We honestly were considering just going to Petsmart because felt as if we was being given cold shoulders but after asking for help from him while Makayla was standing near by she nailed it.I was gonna give this location 1 star but Makayla was definitely giving 5 star all around and Caleb can definitely learn better customer service from her. She offered to come over and assistance immediately and help my family pick out a great leash and also a few items that we didn’t plan on due to Makayla telling us about all the companies latest deals. I would tell anyone if one employee seem not to be as willing to help ask is Makayla here before you consider leaving. Thanks again we hope your management know you’re doing great if not hopefully now they will...
