A lot of people have been raving about this place so I decided to give it a try and I must say food was ok not bad, I got shrimp fried rice and sweet potato fries. I did notice a mildew smell at bar but the bartender was nice. But the horrible part started when I got my drink wasn’t satisfied with it too sweet. The bartender was great she tried her best to make it better but was hurting my stomach I can’t do sweet drinks she recommended the margarita after me telling her I didn’t like sweet drinks but stiff drinks. Once I realized just wasnt going do it and was hurting my stomach, I begin to order shots and other drinks. Once receiving my tab, I noticed the drink that I only took 3 sips out of was on tab. I asked bartender and she said wasn’t anything she could do but get a manager. The manager Keys approached me at bar with hands on bar and a very bad attitude didn’t greet me but said yeah you wanted me. I was immediately taken back by how defensive and rude she already was. She explained they couldn’t do anything about the drink because they don’t do that I said ok fine. She walked off once got to end of bar she offered to make the same drink for me, I stated at that time no I didn’t like it. I then turned to bartender and asked her name, the manager Keys then turned around aggressively and said Keys. I told her I wasn’t speaking with her have a good day she turned around to walk off and at that time said you have a good day too and don’t come back. And I will never go back, I have placed this experience with this aggressive confrontational and rude on social media for friends. I have never seen a manager in customer service speak to customers that’s not even being rude in that way. Keys is the reason I will never step foot in this restaurant again. All because I did not like my drink she felt was ok to be confrontational...
Read moreWe had been waiting for them to open and were surprised when someone said they opened today so we decided to go for dinner. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot so we thought there might be a wait but, we were seated immediately which was nice. The place was very clean and spacious. Our waitress was very nice when she took our order. The menu was good and the prices were reasonable. Here’s where we take a little turn. It took about an hour for us to get our food, the waitress never came to check on us or bring us refills even though our cups were empty. We saw numerous people get up and leave before they got their food because the wait was so long. When we finally got our food, the waitress noticed our cups and said she would bring us refills. Thank goodness because we needed them but also my mom is supposed to drink something with every bite of food due to a medical issue she has. We ate and enjoyed our food. It was hot and seasoned very well. We were about done eating and still no drinks. I asked the waitress when she was walking by and she said ok. We waited and waited. She passed by us a couple more times and still no drinks. I stopped her another time and she said” they didn’t bring your drinks?” I’m not sure who “they” were but, I assured her nobody had brought our drinks and we hadn’t had any refills since we got there. She immediately brought our drinks and then our check. Nice place, good parking, very good food at reasonable prices but, the service needs some work. It wasn’t packed & there were plenty of floor staff so there was no reason why each table shouldn’t have been attended to in a timely matter or...
Read more"Frozen Franchise" best describes this restaurant. We had three meals and two appetizers. Only one item, the lobster bisque, approached what could be called good. We decided it was likely a commercial canned soup but it was at least hot and good tasting. Two of the baskets had cold, soggy, limp fries. I have been to many seafood restaurants over the years but this was the first time my entrée, Snow crab, arrive in a large plastic bag. Clearly pulled in it's bag from the freezer and microwaved. The "corn" was a piece 2 1/2"s long. The "potatoes" were two tiny red potatoes about the size of the shooter marbles you had as a kid. No wonder the potatoes could not be substituted for fries, the meals are all just frozen re-heated, portioned, franchise dishes. All your condiments will come in a small plastic cup like some take-out place. No salt or pepper on the table you'll get little paper packets if you ask. Get this...a "Crab House" with no seafood forks! Don't plan on washing it down (or drowning your sorrows) with beer or wine...no liquor license yet. I remember when we arrived I could smell the food from Jade China from some distance. So after our meal my partner and I decided to take a walk behind the Tasty Crab House kitchen. You guessed it...even just under the kitchen exhaust, no smell of food cooking, no great restaurant smells. I've rated this two stars instead of one because I feel sorry for the poor employees who cast their lot with this place. Excluding of course the chef because there isn't one. A year or two from now The Tasty Crab House will definitely be gone....and that wont be...
