This is an alternative account to protect myself from repercussion . I am a student at this location and have seen stuff that state board would be appalled by.

This school’s sanitation standards are so far below the set standards it’s disgusting. They let all of the towels used on clients sit in the laundry room for days while they are wet and covered in product which leads them to smell so bad you can smell it in the break room and class rooms. There are only like 3 student who actively work on the towels and no instructor seems to care when they aren’t done. Mind you these towels are used on hair, faces, feet, and hands. There is no set towels for any service and if they aren’t properly cleaned ( 9 times out of 10 they aren’t) it bring all of the bacteria from other services into the one you do currently. It’s completely disgusting to know that a towel you are using on a clients face was previously used on someone’s pedicure and it wasn’t properly cleaned. They also outsource the cleaning for the floors from jani king and the person who does it uses the same mop water throughout the entire school and leaves the floors sopping wet. It makes the entire school smell so bad a teacher walks around with a room spray to try and cover it but only near the salon floor, the classrooms smell all day long.

Some of the teachers disappear for hours on end and randomly show up and tell you what you are doing wrong infront of the client. They will then take over what you are doing to “show you” what you should be doing but then does the opposite of what the client wants. Multiple times have I seen clients not satisfied with their service because an instructor took over the service and did the exact opposite. I have seen a teacher purposefully try and up charge a minor because they wouldn’t listen to the stylist about what the stylist was doing and when the stylist stood her ground the teacher looked at her like she was dumb and proceeded to not fix the mistake. I have had to tell every one of my clients to be patient with me because I need a teacher to come sign a form but they are no where to be found.

The teacher ms.miracle has written up multiple student for things that should not be a write up at all and tends to sit in her office all day instead of doing her job as a floor teacher. She says she is “strict” but in actuality she picks favorites and the ones she doesn’t like she picks at everything they do to tear them down and find any reason to reprimand them infront of clients. They look at all of the negative reviews and instead of listening to the reviews and students to try and mediate they take the teachers side and ignores all complaints towards her. There is not a single student in the entire building that likes her because of her attitude towards us. I have watched as student who come in with such a passion for this line of work lose their interest because of this teacher. She tears everything good and human up because it doesn’t fit into her “corporate agenda”. According to her she is just a number in the system and all they care about here is profits. That is not a way to run a school let alone a business. Treat people with compassion and genuine respect.

We have been told not to go to corporate about these issues cause “they have to try and solve everything in house” but when we try we are ignored or dismissed. They have been caught lying to us and played it off as a joke. They do not listen or try to help us. There are 3 teachers who genuinely try but even they are starting to get worn down and exhausted. You can not treat your staff and student like garbage and not expect them not to speak out. You speak of consistency but treat everyone differently and favor your bad teachers over your students and good teachers who genuinely try. Be...

Loved it! My hair was to the point I even joked about getting out my clippers and starting over. However, Michael W. did a wonderful job! I might even let it continue to grow now! I had the shampoo, deep conditioning mask, thermal. My hair looks and feels so great now! Compliments include it's so soft, it looks healthy-loving this! Ms. Kayla, Ms. Rachel, and Ms. Ashley (lovely ladies) checked in frequently with the students. Michael told me what he was doing, and gave tips how to achieve this look at home. He recommended products, and they are working wonderfully. He used a product that brightened my grey hair, and that is next on my list to purchase (frizz was my first concern). I have never been to a school for a service not knowing what I was getting into. There was so much attention paid to doing everything correctly, making sure I was comfortable, and I felt so pampered. I made my next appointment while there, and cannot wait! Kudos Michael W.-fantastic job! And to the attention the ladies paid to the students-job well done! Thank you!

May 9, 2023 - Michael W. performed my manicure, and it was lovely! He even asked about potential sensitivity to the lotion used for the massage, I really appreciated that. I received a lot of compliments on how smooth it looked (not easy considering how short I keep them), and even though I am rough on my nails it still lasted almost 10 days. I really enjoyed it, and ready to do it again! Thank you sir!

May 30 - Yes, it was time for another visit and I'm thrilled! As you can see, the results are fantastic! He cut just like I wanted, and worked magic again. I'm looking at you Michael W.! Ms. Kayla made the rounds checking on everyone (such a sweetie). So soft and my gray is gorgeous again! I had to show it off at work (on my day off) I was so happy. Perfection!

July 8 - I needed something special for a wedding, so we all know by now where I headed. I didn't want a lot of curl, just something different and added body. Michael W. came through again! He offered 2 different styles, and I was so happy! Even with my limitations, he presented gorgeous styles! (Next time, I'll give him free reign-I'm sure I won't be disappointed). Fantastic style and it held up in the heat and dance floor! Thank you again! Loved it and got so many compliments!

Sept. 1 - And the adventure continues...I couldn't get back to the school at the recommended time for a hair treatment. My hair was having tantrums doing its own thing (sorry, no picture to demonstrate but it was bad). Michael W. recommended the acidic bond treatment, and it looks even better now than after the first treatment! I decided to go a little shorter this time, but not too much. Trying out shorter styles a little at a time is best I think. Michael suggested a graduated bob, and it is a very subtle graduation. I love it! It feels like silk, and so much shine! I still have some length, which was important. Again, a most enjoyable visit with remarkable results! I'm not sure if I'll wait for the 6 week appointment or not-maybe another manicure? Shorter sassier hairstyle? The possibilities...

April 15, 2024. Had a shampoo, dry and style. I don't have the easiest cut to style but Alana Medlin tried her best. Going back next week for highlights!

April 22, 2024. Alana Medlin put highlights in my hair this week and did an amazing job. I love it!

May 14, 2024. Alana Medlin washed and deep conditioned my hair and then styled it. My hair is so soft now, I love it. Alana did a great job!!

June 28, 2024. Alana Medlin cut my hair for the first time today. She did a great job! With a little instruction from the teacher, she was able to deliver the cut and style that I like. Going back in 2 weeks to keep the length I desire.

July 12, 2024. Alana Medlin cut, washed and styled my hair today. She did a great job, she also evened out the top part like it should be. Will be back in 2 weeks for another cut and some highlights.

July 23, 2024. Alana Medlin did partial highlights and cut my hair. Absolutely love how the highlights turned out! She did a perfect job on both!!

August 23, 2024. Alana Medlin did another awesome job on my haircut!

September 6, 2024. Another great haircut from Alana Medlin. Will be back for another cut and highlights soon!

November 8, 2024. Got a haircut and partial highlights from Alana Medlin today. Love the color. It turned out perfect. And the haircut is always on point!

November 22, 2024. Got just the sides and back cut today, nothing off the top. Alana Medlin did another great job as usual!

December 6, 2024. Got my usual 2 week haircut today. Alana Medlin knows exactly what I want and does a awesome job each time.
