Great experience from beginning to end. Greeted and assisted immediately upon entering by a friendly and welcoming maĂŽtre d' (obviously thatâs not the correct title but âpeople greeterâ doesnât quite cut it plus she deserves something fancy sounding so roll with it cause itâs all I got rn). In short order this caring stranger showed me the ways of wise Belk store shoppers to ensure that I maximize my savings on every single item purchased. And thankfully, even though to my dismay there was an app involved, that entire process was surprisingly simple and it worked beautifully, just as the kind and helpful future franchisee or company CEO or President of the USA had promised.
I went back a few days later to return a few items and that ordeal could not have been any more hassle free unless perhaps they wouldâve come to my place, picked up my returns, and handed me cash. No silly questions, no dirty looks, no bloviated excuses, no unnecessary commentary, and no nonsense. Just kindness and professionalism in an expedient manner. I was a bit taken aback by not being interrogated but more than anything Iâm entirely grateful for having experienced such a seamless and seemingly effortless transaction which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise to put it mildly.
If all that werenât enough, I was amazed by the huge selection of stylish clothes, the wide variety of sizes, the myriad styles available, and how racks upon racks of beautiful new inventory had been already added within the few short days between my two visits.

I have received discrimnative treatment at this store and also was made to feel very awkward in this store and other Belk locations for no reason! A friend of mine recently tried to do a return at this store and the store manager REFUSED to take the merchandise back without any VALID reason! Belk policy clearly states that a refund is to be issued in your form of payment and if you don't have a receipt ( such as a gift received) a gift card will be issued for the lowest price on a Belk Gift card. My friend- a man of color, attempted to return 4 items that he received as a gift and the store manager came, gave him nasty looks and refused to honor the Belk policy for no VALID reason! This is a systemic problem at this and other Belk locations,as I see another user a few reviews down received the same disriminative behavior here too- based on how the staff perceives you, which is DISCRIMINATION!    Read moreWife went in the store today. Well. Possibly never again. Couldn't get any help in any department. Ask a couple ladies to call for help in department for purses. One lady finally came over and remarked that she didn't work in that department. Didn't ask for assistance in that department to help my wife. Got a couple masks and since she couldn't get any help anywhere else, she asked if she could pay for the masks in a department not near the registers and was treated by the employee like it was too much trouble, but agreed to check her out. Bottom line is... She planned on buying a $200 to $300 purse, but due to the lack of concern by all the employees, she will be spending that money and getting a great purse from Macy's. The Corporate office needs to RETRAIN ALL (ALL) EMPLOYEES ON CUSTOMER SERVICE VERY QUICKLY.
