T.J. Maxx — Local services in Aiken County

I came in per usual to to find my 2 boys an outfit each. While the selections were slim especially for my 10/12 yo ,as they always are, I did find something for each child, I made it to the register ,cashier was friendly and all but I noticed the legs of the pants were full of dust and dirt, mind you this is the only pants I found i his size. the manager reviewed the item and told me if I could wash it , it couldn’t be discounted , brand new!! I spend 100s in this store almost every visit , the bias is I receive on almost each visit is crazy work, whether I’m being followed around or watched like some common thief , or just plain mistreate. Not all blacks steal or search for a way to get over,I kindly returned all items for my 10 year old and quite honestly I will never set foot in this store again. Nice selection of clothing, purses and accessories for women. There is usually some really great items on Clearance throughout the entire store in all departments. Also the restrooms and general cleanliness of the store is always up to par. My complaints on this particular store is the men's section isn't very impressive at all and neither is the clothing for toddler boys. And last but definitely not least the customer service here sucks. No one is ever available to wait on you at the layaway part. I stood there 2 different days for quite awhile and never received any service. I even used my cell phone to call the store for assistance and was still let down. Hard to believe the lady at the front door called the police in all customers who where not wearing their masks. The police came and they told the employee that they could not arrest anyone because wearing a mask is nit mandatory in Aiken. The police officer explained to the employee that that was a store policy and not the law. TJ MAX is really changing their environment and it’s no longer enjoyable to shop there. I hope this changes soon, because when I go shopping I want it to be an enjoyable experience and this was far from...
