Went through the drive thru and ordered two plates- 2 double orange chicken with chow mein noodles, a small sweet tea and an order of cream cheese rangoons I was told they only had enough orange chicken for one plate and no more sweet tea made Cool, okay So I order different entrees for the other plate and no drink (which I was fine with) She tells me to pull up and when I get to the window, she tells me they have only 2 rangoons instead of 3 (but I just had it removed from the order (which I was fine with)) She cancels it and tells me my total: $10 and some change which I thought was super low for 2 plates and was confused She hands me my bag and it’s only one plate in the bag and hands me my receipt, tells me to have a good night and closes the window. I look at everything and obviously see I’m missing a plate I sit at the window and no more eye contact was made from the staff and no one answered the window I had things to do, tired from a long day at work and didn’t have time to walk in to talk about it but was super disappointed as one meal was left out Just really disappointed at the customer service tonight- order was not repeated at the window, everything seemed rushed, no assistance was offered when I sat at the window to try and talk about my order not being complete Food was eh- not really hot but not really cold You can tell we got the bottom of the pan of noodles- super small pieces and did not get our $$ worth (chicken was placed in the upper bottom corner where the noodles should have been so we did not get a good amount of noodles- the picture does not do it justice it was such a little amount) I would recommend going somewhere else if it’s any time past 7pm instead of coming to...
Read moreOutside: Restaurant is a little tough to get into, as the only entrance is a right in only driveway on Pine Log. There is also an exit only driveway onto Silver Bluff but you cannot take a left out of that drive. Just needs a little planning to get around, and is the only reason I took a star off. The parking lot is big enough and the drive thru line isn't too small and you can easily navigate around it. The restaurant was built in 2018 so the outside is still updated and appealing.
Food: Panda Express is a mid level chain Chinese place and lives up to the expectations. It is not as authentic as some other locally owned places around town, but it is much better quality than other fast food places in general. Available menu options are laid out buffet style and you get to choose from those options. There isn't a huge variety of menu options, but all the options are tasty. I haven't ordered something I didn't like. The bowl is also plenty for me for dinner. The side order of ride or lo mein is very filling. Some items come with an upcharge so be sure to read the menu. I feel that the food is very reasonably priced. My wife and I both got bowls and an appetizer for $14 after tax. However, we did not buy drinks, so that might make the deal a little better.
Service: Never had an issue with any of the staff, they have all been professional and friendly. They used to let you sample food if you wanted before ordering, but I'm not sure if that stopped after COVID. I haven't been inside since restrictions began being lifted. Drive thru has always been very fast, and I don't think I've ever waited more than five minutes...
Read moreOrdered online, picked up order at drive thru, drove 17 miles home. Sit at kitchen table with family opened food, order was wrong. Tried to call them several times and it went to voicemail. Drove 17 miles back to Panda, explained the inconvience to the manager, Crystal, and she was really not concerned for my inconvience. I suggested that for my inconvience that the order should be made over correctly and I should get a refund due to the time and inconvience that was caused. She would only refund or fix the food over, no care for the mistake causing me to drive 17 miles back to Panda.
This is the third time in the last 2 months they have either messed up an order or did not have any food ready to go for a walk in without waiting 15 mins for them to fix it. I have been to many other Pandas and they are better than this one.
I am writing this review and all reviews, because I believe that a customer should get the best service possible where ever they deside to go. I understand that mistakes are made, we are human. But a great indication of how much a business cares for their customer is how they correct mistakes that are made. In this case the correct action was not taken and they did not care about retaining a customer. Therefore they have lost me as a customer and anyone else I can convince to go elsewhere.
Save yourself the aggravation and high blood pressure dealing with a staff that don't care and pick another restaurant. This one won't last...
