Where to even begin... This sweet soul made not only my wedding dress dreams come true but also my sisters' bridesmaid dresses, my mom's MOB dress, my sister's wedding dress when she got married along with her bridesmaids' dresses, etc. Hands down not only an amazing seamstress but also an amazing women. We came in contact with Laura years ago when my sister got married. She was planning on wearing my grandmother's dress which had also been worn by many other women in the family including my mom. Needless to say we were hesitant to let anyone touch this dress because it had so much meaning attached to it. Laura understood the importance of the dress and took such great care of it in restoration and alterations. From then my family and I developed a lovely friendship with her. Fast forward to 2021, I was planning my wedding and needed some alterations to my dress. I was so worried that it could not be done but, of course, she was able to make it all happen! I wanted a zipper taken out and a corset put into my dress and it turned out so well! It transformed into the perfect dress and as soon as she laced me into it, it felt so right! Laura is a life saver! I needed my dress altered in a week and a half and she made it happen during Christmas holidays so that I could have my perfect dress! We decided to make it a family weekend and to move up the date, but we only had one weekend we could all do. She did a fantastic job and made it feel not rushed. We had so much fun! I have sewn my whole life and went to school for it, I’m very picky and still Laura exceeded my expectations! It was a tight fitting dress with buttons down the back and not a simple fit, it was a complete take apart and put back together, very time consuming. I expect to pay so much more for how good she was and how quickly she worked. Laura I still say you should charge more but grateful as everything is expensive with weddings. I’m so grateful for the dress doctors and suggest them to anyone who needs a good fit! Truly, a wonderful experience!! Laura is literally the best and most amazing person to work with. She is the sweetest, and she is meticulous and brilliant in her work. The alterations needed for my wedding dress were very challenging, and Laura did her magic and made my wedding dress fit perfectly. She listened to how I envisioned the dress fitting while also giving her expertise. She explained every step in the alterations process so well. She is also very knowledgeable about all things wedding related, and I always enjoyed talking with her about the details on wedding day.
