The first time I came here was a month ago to return some things from the Altamonte location that didn’t fit (since fitting rooms are closed) and to go through their clearance options. At one point a lady came up behind me, literally pressed against my back and reached around me within whispering distance to my face to grab a shirt off the rack I was looking through. I was completely taken aback by this action as it was incredibly rude in general but downright dangerous in today's times. I told her to social distance and she mumbled something and walked away. I had to walk around both clearance sections multiple times to avoid being close to people because THAT'S WHAT YOU DO and I didn't complain or put others in danger. It's called putting others' safety before your convenience. And I had only even been at that rack for a couple minutes! If you wanted that shirt so bad, you could have waited till I moved like I did for you SEVERAL times when you were at racks I wanted to look at. Talk about impatience and entitlement. There's just no avoiding a Karen these days... Now, I couldn't blame Kohl's for that interaction. However, I took the chance of coming back to this location last night and after what happened on top of my previous experience, I can guarantee I will never return to this location and ensure none of my family does either. Again, same scenario. I am going through a clothing rack and up behind me come two women, a mother and daughter. They start rummaging through the rack on either side of me, rapidly closing in with no regard to social distancing. As the daughter zeroes in on my right, she asks in a fakey nice tone if she can move my cart (the only thing keeping any distance between us at this point) and I tell her that actually I was there first and I would appreciate it if they would social distance and look at another rack for a moment while I finish. My goodness, did that set her off. I couldn't even finish my sentence before she shoved my cart to the side to get up in my face and started going on about how people trying to be safe should just stay quarantined as if that is the answer instead of just being as careful as you can be while trying to get the world moving again. All the while, her mask is coming down below her mouth and again, she's in my face at this point. It was absolute insanity. Spewing rudeness and narcissism I have recently only heard from a certain candidate that lost a recent election... Perhaps she was salty about that and taking it out on me. Now, again, I wouldn't blame this interaction on Kohl's IF there hadn't been an employee standing one rack over THE WHOLE TIME. Her name was Xaije and, although I will give credit where credit is due as she did assist me later and seemed nice, she did not say or do a single thing during this entire exchange. Even if, for argument's sake, she was "afraid" to get involved, she had a radio. They all do. She should have called a manager. But later on when I needed assistance at the register, she showed up to help the cashier (Melissa, who was absolutely lovely and deserves a huge shoutout for her positivity that, like the cashier I had my previous visit whom I didn't get the name of, ended my time there on a positive note.) which makes me wonder if she WAS some sort of lead/supervisor/manager in which case there would be absolutely NO excuse to not step in and just say, "Hey, actually we DO encourage social distancing. If you're making another patron uncomfortable, please step back and return to the rack later." It wouldn't have been hard. If you're an employee of a company, you are EMPOWERED to protect other employees and patrons so that they are safe/comfortable. And it is for this gross inaction that I must knock off most of my previous stars (The cashiers are the only reason I leave 2.) and suggest that you drive the few extra minutes to another Kohl's location and steer clear...
Read moreI’ve had multiple frustrating experiences at Kohl’s recently, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. The first instance happened when I went to ask if I could return a cologne I had received as a gift. I understand I didn’t have a receipt, and it was a while ago, so I wasn’t expecting a return. I just wanted to ask. The Sephora employees in the store were very polite and helpful, but the manager who came over to assist was incredibly rude.
Not only did she tell me no, which I was totally fine with, but she spoke to me like I didn’t know anything about the return process and then walked away without answering any follow-up questions. It honestly felt like I did something wrong just by asking, which was completely unnecessary. That’s just not how you treat customers.
The second issue came when I tried to use Kohl’s Cash during another visit. I get that there are restrictions on what it can be used for, and I take full accountability for not reading the fine print. But then, after purchasing a shirt, I discovered it had a hole in it when I got home. I returned the shirt immediately, which was the least I could do after receiving a damaged item.
Throughout my visits, many of the employees have treated me like I’m a bother, even when I’ve only greeted them politely. It’s disappointing to feel like I’m met with attitude for no reason, especially when I’m always respectful and just trying to shop.
The only positives I’ve had were my interactions with the Sephora staff (who are always friendly) and the employees who helped me with my return. Other than that, I’m honestly appalled by the rude and dismissive attitude from many others at Kohl’s. I understand working with difficult customers can be draining, but that doesn’t mean everyone should be treated that way.
After these experiences, I won’t be spending any more money at Kohl’s. It’s unfortunate, but the poor customer service has really left...
Read moreRead moreThis company does NOT RESPECT ITS CUSTOMERS OR CARE ABOUT THEM 🤢due to "inactivity" on my Kohls credit card they closed my account it effected my credit score by 🥺 28 points !!! I have a very high credit score and very little debt on my other credit cards I have never been late on a payment or missed a payment ! I was told this is a common practice if the card has not been used in a year or more and that it also could indicate that the person has passed away - All it would have taken was a simple phone call to see if I was still alive ! I was even asked WHY I had not used my card 😳 I explained due to Covid19 and I am high risk I chose to stay home 😏 I asked why are you asking me that - he said no reason but if you are interested in a Kohls credit card you will have to re apply for one - I didn't prefer to go into my personal business but I have now changed my mind - I have been very ill for quite some time and trying to recover my total focus is on getting well not going on line to make purchases to feed this company ! Their clothes etc are EXTREMELY OVER PRICED already and they are hurting for business you would think they would investigate the situation a little better. UPDATE As you read the NOT positive reviews have you noticed the response from the "Owner" he/she picks and chooses which reviews to respond to trying to make themselves look GOOD and not take RESPONSIBILITY FOR...
