Men's Wearhouse — Local services in Alafaya

Our wedding party decided to go with Men's Wearhouse for suit rentals for Groomsmen and unfortunately it was regretful all around. Weddings are expensive and their rentals are no exception - you can expect to pay $250 for less than 48 hours of rental service (if you get 48 hours).

You go through a standard fitting experience, with a thorough overview of your sizes to make sure you get a perfect fit - except what you will come to learn is that there is no perfect fit. As these are rentals, you will be given a close approximation. Out of our party of 5, 3 were given sizes too large. They can hem pants but expect to be given a hard time - again these are rentals they don't want to customize any more than they have too and you will need to be prepared to push.

In terms of cleanliness, 2 of the suits received in our group were provided dirty. When one asked for it to be cleaned they were informed that cleaning was not an option, and they were expected to wear it as is. Again, the staff were pushy when asked for a replacement if cleaning wasn't an option but eventually gave in.

Also, you will be told you will receive contact about 48 hours prior to the event to receive the rentals. This is not true- no one in our party was contacted by any means (email, phone). When attempting to pick up 1 days before, 2 of us the items were not in yet. Personally I was able to get mine with less than 24-hours to the event. Thankfully mine did not come with the other issues received, but with the amount of issues experienced overall this just adds even more unneeded stress. But the team is kind enough to repeatedly remind you that you news to return the rental ASAP - they don't give you the courtesy of having the rental you paid $250 for with the 48-hours promised yet they expect you back in store to return it otherwise risk major charges.

Speaking of charges, you will find there is a Damages and Handling fee. This is misleading as they will not provide any form of refunds and by tucking in the word "handling" it is deemed a fee similar to shipping/processing.

Overall, this has been a nightmare of an experience- not just for me but for majority of our wedding party. I am confident you will also likely experience inflated costs and added stress if you decide to give their...

Beyond disappointed with this store and could say company over all. It’s unbelievable that I paid to hold my wedding party date 4 months ago. Was told by the store to wait around a month before wedding to go in for measurements. But is all a lie, I come in for measurements and was told that they no longer carry the color of the tuxedo I had booked in advance. Mind you this is a month out of my wedding day. They didn’t bother to send me an email or a phone call to let me know this situation was happening. I find out because I came in for measurements. The store manager said unfortunately there’s nothing they can do but refund me for the amount that was paid. No solution was done. Long story short I put my trust to this store for this part of the wedding believing everything was set and come to find out I don’t have tuxedos for my grooms men. I only gave a star because the review makes you in order to post . But, they don’t even deserve that.

It’s funny you reply that because if customers would be your top priority. You guys would have looked for options to help me. At least had someone contact me. But it’s all good I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else because when we customers go to these kind ok stores. We put all our trust thinking that the merchandise would be there for whatever big event we would have. That’s why it’s paid and book in advance. We should feel safe counting on that. Im very suspicious of any positive reviews based on the experience I have had. I order a custom tuxedo for close to $1500. At that price point I expected it to look exceptional, but it was nothing more than mediocre . It looked no different than a rented tux and quality and look was of a cheap $60 suit . When I first ordered I told the associate (cough mike cough) I NEED size 34 because I’m very slim and short. Disregarding what I explained, he orders me a size 36 the issue being that having to be tailored you can only take off so much fabric till it starts to look funny resulting in not a clean slim fit look. I’ve bought sized 34 suits slim fit that were never tailiored and fit better than this “custom” $1500 suit. After agitated and complaining because that’s what I was trying to avoid ,they tried to convince me it looked great! I was shocked because I know what fashion suppose to look like especially slim fit. They literally tried to BS me saying that’s how it was suppose to look which irritated me more and reflected their incompetence. Anyways in summary you are over paying by almost 3x, they try to add bells and whistles but honestly who cares if you can add your initials not worth it. Lastly the customer service of this place was HORRIBLE far from professional . I ended up unhappily keeping suit because I couldn’t handle stress as groom and ran out of time to continue to make perfect as my event is in less than week. If you are not into fashion this place may suit your needs but if looking for quality and high fashion...
