Since most of the reviews here are by people who have toured the property, I thought I would make an in-depth review as someone who has been living here for around 8 months.
Location wise, it couldn't be better. It's literally right across the street from UCF, (a 6 minute walk to the bus stop to be exact) and there's lots of small restaurants within 3 minutes of walking. A bus even stops by every 15 minutes or so during the week for an easy way to get to campus. HOWEVER, one thing that is important to consider that you may not have thought of is noise. Here, outside noise is near constant. Noises from the intersection echo between the building across the street which makes them much louder. There are always loud cars, fire trucks, and motorcycles, at night especially when groups of drivers are together. I've even been woken up from sleep many times due to loud car engines, but I'm a light sleeper, so it will vary depending on the person. My apartment is also facing the street, so experiences may vary. If you're looking for a quiet place to focus on studying, this is not it.
The building itself is... mostly nice. There's many areas where you can tell the building was made in a hurry. There's lots of good amenities and the lobby is clean, and the mail room is easy to access and use. The employees are amazing and very helpful. Unfortunately, the rest of the building is not on that level of cleanliness. Residents have little respect for the property and will leave trash all over the hallways and stairwells. Bottles, plastic wrappers, underwear, food, entire plastic bags, and much more are all things I've personally seen in hallways. Nobody really cleans the hallways often, maybe every two weeks or so, but there's no way to be sure. There are also no security cameras in hallways, which can raise security or safety concerns. I think that if hallways were cleaned more often and if residents actually threw their trash away properly, it would be amazing. Trash rooms are simple and bags are removed daily. The parking garage feels tight and is oddly dusty, but be warned because many residents drive very fast without slowing down around corners.
The rooms are very new and have everything you need. The washer and dryers work flawlessly, as well as the fridge and stove. Furniture and even a tv are included. Maintenance workers are very speedy and helpful, and will even fix what you need when you're not there. Some spots seem a bit hastily made, but these are very minor. I live in a single studio apartment, so again, it will vary per room.
Overall, this is a pretty good location with lots to consider. It's the best location you can get. Lots of outside noise. Mostly loud and irresponsible residents. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Excellent staff and amenities. Many food options...
Read moreThis place is full of children whose parents pay their rent and have no respect for the complex. It is brand new and pretty nice. Upon move in it was very nice especially since we were the first residents to even touch the building. Since then it’s slowly not lived up to its name. The app and resident parking gate don’t work very often. 1/3 elevators has been permanently turned off while they have told residents it’s “being fixed” because younger residents that don’t respect the property continuously broke it by kicking the panel where the key fob scanner is. Sometimes the resident gate just stays open allowing people to come and go whether they live there or not.In the stair well next to the broken elevator you don’t need a key fob to get into the building because it’s constantly flashing blue and just opens without scanning your fob like you normally need to. UCF isn’t necessarily unsafe but there are unsafe aspects and I no longer feel protected or comfortable in the building. I have been obsessing over making sure my door is locked because the other security measures aren’t in place like they should. There’s also no cameras in the hallway so unless you have your own doorbell camera if anything happens to you or your apartment there’s no proof. I also now have a broken floor board because the construction company didn’t cut the flooring flush to the wall so upon moving my bed to clean it shifted and now I have to wait for maintenance which could take a couple weeks.
Overall it’s not AWFUL. I’ve experienced worse but for the price point it’s not good. Shout out to Caiden for always been an...
Read moreI’m already so skeptical about this place already and it’s only been a week living here. They’re literally scamming and taking advantage of college students. Here they gave us this paper saying omg if you lose your fob key you must pay like $200 to replace it. Isn’t that absurd to you? Do they literally think their residents are idiots? Every student housing replaces key fobs and other keys you lost for like $30 max. Why is the Accolade East charging $200 for a cheaply made key fob that’s literally $5.99? I hate when Student complexes try to take advantage of college students just because Greystar knows their vulnerabilities. Not to mention unreserved parking is literally $55 and let’s not start on how reserved is $75 a month. Which is so unethical especially when, they’re already charging insane rent prices for subpar wall thin luxury apartments with limited space apartments. Nothing I’ve been getting here is luxury the apartment rooms itself is so small there’s not even enough closet space like the other student housing. They literally don’t care about their residents here only gaining loads of money from them. The parking here for unreserved should only be like $25 to $30 max. And for reserved parking only $45-$55 max. I hate how this place is already turning out. Greystar are really a bunch of cash cows trying to take advantage of young college people. Literally they’re going to drive their consumers away if they don’t stop with their greedy and overly insane prices. I’m literally about to sublease this place due to their...
