So I came here with a bunch of classmates after class got out. We were putting on a charity event where a percentage of Burger Fi's profits were going towards our class organization, so we all pitched in and did the hard work.
My girlfriend and I each got a burger and split an order of the Cry+Fry (Onion Rings + Hand-Cut Fries). The fries were good. Not just fries, because they're fried in peanut oil, just like at Chick-Fil-A. So they were a bit above the average, in my opinion. And the onion rings were absolutely fantastic. They were thinner than usual, which is wonderful, because when you have to many layers of onion in your rings, it makes it hard to bite all the way through. So delicious.
Now for the burgers. I got the Breakfast All Day Burger (Natural Angus Burger, American Cheese, Bacon, Maple Syrup, Fried Egg, Hash Brown, Grilled Onions, Ketchup), and my girlfriend got The CEO (Double Wagyu + Brisket Blend Burger, Homemade Candied Bacon-Tomato Jam, Truffle Aioli, Aged Swiss Cheese).
My burger was very good. The beef patty was delicious, the cheese and the bacon were on point, the maple syrup I actually couldn't tell it was there honestly, the fried egg was good, and the hash brown was strangely enough the thing on the burger that I would be the saddest if it was missing. We've all had breakfast burgers before, but the hash brown was the unique twist here, and I am a big fan. The whole thing also wasn't too greasy, which surprised me consider it was a beef patty, bacon, and a fried egg. Well done, Burger Fi.
My girlfriend's burger was very interesting. First, the price was enormous. It was like $11. I understand that Wagyu is a premium ingredient, but when you cut it down with brisket and then make a patty so thin that you can't get anything more out of it than well done, it's honestly a little bit disappointing. It was ok, but I definitely wouldn't have guessed that it was made with Wagyu if I didn't already know. Also, there was nowhere near enough jam on that burger. Tomato jam is such a wonderful addition to meals sometimes, that I was excited, but alas, more disappointment.
I know that last paragraph seemed pretty shameful, but that's only because I was looking at it in comparison to the price point. Keeping price out of it, like I usually do, it was delicious, and I firmly believe that this joint earned its four star review. If you like burgers come here, but don't...
Read moreRecently, I grabbed a bite with a new friend at the UCF Burger Fi. We had considered several, typical fast food chains nearby but we decided to go with Burger Fi based on our experience of them in other states, such as in Raleigh, North Carolina, for serving quality food in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Sure enough, the atmosphere, food and staff at the UCF Burger Fi was not only the same but even better. We ordered the classic signature burgers and fries and the meal came out great with super service from the employees who were working during our lunch there. The customer service was exemplary with detailed order taking to cater the meal to our preferred choice. At the register there was a kind lady named Gianna who also offered us some of their soft serve custard as we briefly waited for our order to be cooked. The kind and impressive management, Ms Dakota and Mr. Miguel, were very engaging and noticed the great time my friend and I were having. It was quite touching to see wen we realized that they were patiently waiting for an opportune moment to talk to us let us know more about their restaurant and some ways that UCF students and local folks can save cash through community discounts given by the store, or gain coupons made available through an app called “Zupp.”
We’ll be back for more great food and encourage others to come with us to have an awesome time at the Burger Fi near...
Read moreBefore you start reading: I'm about to write a mini essay on a freaking burger hahaha. You've been warned.
Stopped by for a meal before my flight. I ordered a double bacon burger with fried egg and mushrooms as the "premium" add-ons for the burger. I previously ordered a very similar type of burger from Smash Burger and I can say without a doubt that BurgerFi Smashed that burger out of the park by my taste measures.
The packaging of the burger was great, as there was a fry-style tray placed beneath the burger itself to trap any egg yolk from escaping the outer box it was placed in. The presentation was great, and the burger kept it's shape from bite 1 to the last bit of bacon. Most times I order a burger like this it becomes unruly and I have to stop what I'm doing and manhandle it using two hands but shout out to the cook for making a great tasting and great looking burger.
Probably MOST impressive was the ingredients used in the burger. It doesn't feel as though anything was cheaply bought here. The mushrooms were great, and the egg was fresh, the bacon and meat paddies weren't oozing with sodium like I've come to expect with other burger joints. I don't feel immediately awful on the inside after eating the burger, and considering what I had on it, that's impressive hahaha.
Great stuff. Would recommend. What you pay in price is well shown in everything about the...
