April 10th 2024 : Every-time you ask these people literally anything they like to talk about other residents when nobody asked. I don’t care if nobody else has told you anything, they aren’t on my lease.
When I last sprayed, the pest control guy told me and my boyfriend that there was infestation of cockroaches as a result of our communal trash shoot. Whoever responds to reviews in particular also seem to not understand that individual treatment of apartments does absolutely nothing for pest extermination. I consistently requested their pest control that they swear works for over a month EVERY WEEK to see if anything changed and no, there’s still roaches. Of course there’s going to be less for a little bit in MY apartment after spraying, they’ll disperse to other apartments that don’t spray then come back when they feel it’s safe. Additionally, they expect everything to work on a system where one must email them every single week by a certain time to have a guy come aimlessly spray around your apartment. I had my apartment sprayed so much that I began to take a break from it since I have respiratory issues and spraying so much insecticide cannot be good for my health. I’ve taken to spraying by myself which seems to produce more satisfactory results than the useless pest control that’s included in the rent. I am barely in my apartment because of college and being a flight attendant but I can assure you I will see one cockroach on a daily basis when I actually am here. It stopped for quite some time but as of recently I’ve seen a minimum of 4 sneaking their way into my apartment via baseboards and even my front door in the last four days. These people want me to send them the same damn email every single week to send pest control to spray when I’m so busy in another state or out of the country so that it isn’t even an option. I’ve addressed my concerns with this stupid set up and asked if I could have automatic pest control treatments but apparently that’s out of the question for some stupid reason. I see roaches of all sizes, color, patterns and life stages and these people have the audacity to lie and claim there’s no infestation when there clearly is, especially if they haven’t been doing their due diligence and spraying common areas without residents having to point things out to them. There’s more diversity in the looks of the cockroaches here than the office staff. Relying on college students to help do your jobs is a losing battle, especially when so many of them have their own hygiene issues. And that brings me to my second new point.
A lot of the people who live here are DISGUSTING. In the last two days I’ve used the elevator in building three, there has been some subhuman individual hacking up snot onto the CARPET in the elevator and leaving it there. I constantly see people walking into the trash room and around the hallways barefoot, and residents who are apparently too lazy to put their trash down the chute despite making it into the trash room. Living in this place has to be a hazard to one’s health. I feel horrible for that one janitor lady I see wheeling around her cleaning cart. This community suffers from a lack of cameras in its hallways and elevators so nothing will ever be done about the disgusting people that live here amongst us normal residents. When someone went around throwing eggs at someone’s door, they sent out an email offering people a $5 Starbucks gift card to snitch on whoever did it. If you want to live in an overpriced, lawless, disgusting community with incompetent management (GREYSTAR) and useless office staff that aren’t good at anything expect stalking reviews and reflecting from a clear issue I’ve documented then I’m sure you’ll enjoy living here. This place has gone completely down hill despite being open for less than a year and I don’t plan on sticking around to see how further...
Read moreQuite satisfied with the Apartment complex and the way the staff has been able to run everything up until this most recent few weeks with a rush renewal process for the 2024-2025 school year.
The apartments themselves are beautiful and the distance from school and retail and food services are quite convenient. The dog parks are a nice added touch as well although they are just areas for fake grass gated off, it gives my puppy an area to roam freely. The gyms are a nice touch as well.
To express my first disappointment, I'd like to bring up the garage itself. The parking garage fails to have the mirrors in the corner when turning that allows for the blindspot of turning the corner in the garage to be seen. This is something that is quite worrisome as there are individuals who drive quite recklessly in parking garages. Secondly, the garage gate has yet to work since we've moved into the Accolade CVW just a month ago, so those of us with garage spots have paid for a reserved spot and an RFID sticker for it to simply be useless. Third, the lines of the garage parking are quite faint as they are simple pale white lines painted over gray concrete making it quite hard to tell if one is in their spot or another, same for the number makers. I'd lastly like to bring up the point that according to the new leases being signed for renewal, the price for all this inadequacy is being increased from $50 to $75
My second disappointment would have to be the mailroom services. The mail room system could use a bit of work as sometimes my packages actually get delivered outside the leasing office and sometimes even to my door, although I'm not quite sure how amazon and other packing delivering services are ending their way into our "secure" building. The packaging sorting system is quite confusing as well considering you have to sort through the packages that are present for your building and room number and there are always quite a lot of packages present. Some sort of time limit should be placed on the holding of packages as it simply clusters to the entirety of the shelves provided.
My third and final disappointment is ultimately the manner in which the renewal process has been handled as a whole. We hadn’t even lived at the Accolades CVW even a month before renewal was thrown at us at full force. It was quite a disappointment and a great shock to witness the fact that base prices are increasing from the mid $900s and ending at the early $1000s (My signing tier was $960), to the main tier for a D1 4x4 is starting at $1005 with ONLY THIRTY-ONE residents being allowed that tier with the\e second increasing to $1020 (allowing TWENTY-FIVE residents to sign), the third at $1035 (allowing THIRTY-FIVE residents to sign) and the fourth at a whooping $1050 (allowing SIXTY residents to sign), a major difference in price tier from before. With no projection as to what the tiers will look like for the rest of the residents that aren’t a part of the 151 spots that are available. Mind you this does not include utilities.
I am writing to express my grievances with the leasing operations of The Accolade COllegiate Village West, a complex I was more than looking forward to moving into and now have had to face grave disappointments. I hope you are able to take into consideration the information I have provided you with today and plead to you that action is taken in a positive direction for all parties involved.

Read more(Updated 09/09/25) Unstable Wifi, broken elevator (for 4 weeks without any updates for further plan), roaches, and ants. People started to carry up their furnitures via stairs, and management office still sending the renewal documents 1 years before the lease term ends. Still, giving the 2 stars for review because each staff (especially maintanance team) is nice. Thanks for update about elevator fix issue after my review updated.
(Updated 09/03/24) I've spent one year in here. Most staffs are nice, and maintenance team respond quickly. However, the remained and unsolved problems related weed smokers, roaches, ants, and intermittent internet outage make me furious. I have to smell weed smoke every night, struggling with thumb-size roaches (my room is perfectly clean so don't get me wrong) approximately one hour long, buy pesticides, pest controlling all by my own, and buy additional hotspot fee for finishing my school work. Residents' agreement and payment for higher rent compare to last year entail the expectation for better management.
(Previous) To legitimate the high rate of rent, high quality of management is essential. In general, people expect that NEW apartments is free from insects problem. Three days after move-in, I saw tons of ants are coming into my unit (I’m in highest floor, so I lower floor residents will more suffering with this problem). They are coming from the wall, which they supposed not to be. I assume that there is a crack between the edge of walls, which ants are building their route towards the residence unit.
I asked the management office to solve the problem. They sent the pest control person to spray some pesticide, which was not effective at all, because CRACK of all edges are problem. I blocked all edges with duck tape as possible as I can reach, but ants continuously found another route that I cannot block. I bought the pesticide on my own, and ant problem seemed solved, until TODAY. Again, tons of ants coming in the units through the crack of wall edges. To solve this problem, fundamental solution is needed: 1) mold all edges with silicone. 2) Pest-control with stronger pesticides is needed for all spaces of apartment.
(Update 05/04/24). These days, there were constant and extreme noise happened from building 3. Drunken people yell, scream, sing and shout in the middle of the night (2:30 am). Some other residents asked them to be quiet or shut up, but they keeps yelling like "you can come over along with us". I am real deep-sleeping person that I mostly unwake during the night, which means that their noises are really loud. I called the security office started with number 8, and it said the phone number cannot be reached. I tried to call to other phone number, and those noisy people move to other building and made noise there. Today, I contact with management office to ask for help, and they said that they don't accept photos, videos, and recordings to fix noise issue. Management office only accept the issues when manager witness in place of the issue (which is daytime and weekdays). That is, this issue cannot be solved unless those noisy people move out. All of the items in contracts I signed for the lease at first time is not kept properly, and still rents are extremely high.
I don’t want to spend my extra money and effort with pest controls, because I have to spend 1600+ dollars only for rent from...
