If you're me, you don't expect a hot tub repair to be something that lifts your heart, but that's what I got when Ricardo Escalante was referred to me.  As the owner of a 2010 Dimension 1 Spa that was no longer heating, just running, I discovered that even the interweb doesn’t have an answer to everything -- my jacuzzi bears the dreaded term, obsolete.  Enter Ricardo. He used to work for Dimension One and he inspected my tub with the practiced eye of a watchmaker or a master gardener.

From appraisal to information sharing about the problem to implementation of the fix to offering to make me a video to describe how to program the newly installed computer in the tub, Ricardo embodied professionalism and dedication to his craft along with kind politeness that was just a pleasure to work with. Ricardo of Bay Area Spas is an absolute gem. We have an aging Bullfrog Spa that has been discontinued and when we had an issue previously we tried an "authorized" repair company for Bullfrog and did not have a good experience. Ricardo knows every type of hot tub in every configuration. He was able to promptly replace our heater, computer board and upper controller for a very reasonable price. Not only that, he took the time to educate me about how to best clean the pipes -- something we never knew we could do. He recommended some great products and a reasonably priced replacement cover. Ricardo is punctual, an excellent communicator, and goes out of his way to make sure the customer is making an informed decision about service. While replacing a broken spa pump, he discovered not only the reason it had failed but the potential for the replacement and another pump in the spa to fail as well, due to several leaks he discovered in older components.
