Stepping into the Beanery of Alameda is always a delight. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of superior coffee fills the air, promising a perfect cup every time. What truly sets this place apart, however, is not just the exceptional coffee. The service here is impressively fast, ensuring that even during the busiest hours, you're not kept waiting. The staff are genuinely friendly, making each visit feel personal and welcoming. It's the kind of place where the baristas remember your order after a few visits, which adds a lovely personal touch. The environment is another highlight – clean, cozy, and perfectly conducive to either a quick coffee stop or a longer, leisurely visit with friends or a good book. It's this combination of superb coffee, swift service, warm hospitality, and a spotless setting that makes the Beanery of Alameda a standout. A well-deserved five-star experience that I can't recommend highly enough!

Breakfast panini is made to order and hot, not always the case so appreciated. The order taker was slightly impatient as this is my first time here and I don’t know this is customizable and didn’t see the options posted. I just said yea to the first 3 things she listed to make it easy: egg, bacon, spinach. It came with provolone cheese.bread was fresh and crusty but no taste and sandwich is fine. Large drip coffee is $3.25 for 20oz and I got dark toast - good. Fine option if you are in the area. Lots of locals here.

There are several excellent coffee shops in Alameda, and the Beanery is certainly high up on the list! Their espresso drinks are great and consistent, food & pastry selections are varied, and the staff are some of the most sincere folks around. They are my go-to spot for a nice morning brew and occasional fresh beans ☕️

This morning we got take away breakfast with my fiancee. This chubby lady on the counter got our orders then my fiancee ask her if she was Filipina. She said she was a Thai and she doesn't like Filipino. I just smiled back (I am Filipina). Im so sorry for her mouth and being racist. She was the first thai whonsaid that. I have a high education background and raced from a very nice family. She may have a bad experience with Filipinos. So in behalf of my race, we apologize and in behalf of my race we forgive you for not liking us. To the Beanery, Even if she doesn't like our race I still like your coffee and your food and your ambiance in Alameda. I will come back...

Long, loyal customer of the Beanery. Enter today a few minutes after 7am, order 2+ lbs of coffee. It started to get busy, 20 minutes later I asked the status of my order, was told they knew. 20 more minutes later, my order was still not filled as other customer orders were filled. A few minutes later my order was filled but with no apology or acknowledgement. Overall, I spent 50 minutes there, was late for work, my boss was angry with me. I am upset! If local independent business want support, they need to support the people who support them. So, if you go the Beanery be aware it may take forever to get your order. I hope you have...
