Daiso - Japanese Household Goods — Local services in Alameda

I’m super disappointed when I went there yesterday. The cashier scanned my items and started handing it back to me. Do I look like an octopus? things started falling on the nasty floor. I couldn’t hold everything. The experience was awful for me. I asked her, “do you not have any paper bags to offer ?” She said it’s “20 cents” and I don’t care how much it is. Then she proceeded to say it was better to use the bag I was already buying since I am paying for “$4 for it already” The logic wasn’t for me, I wanted the bag for a gift for later. Why the hesitation to offer me a bag??? I never cared about the prices or inflations until she wanted to act frugal. Moral of the story is, I don’t have time for Daiso anymore. The prices went up, And the service is ridiculous as well. I just came back from Japan and everything from this store is less than a dollar there. At this rate I will wait till I return to Japan. Prices went up and customer service went down. Since Halloween is coming up, my family and friends will ghost this store and never come back. Arigatogozaimasu...

I love Daiso, so this is a review for this location only and not the company as a whole. This location is smaller than most and while there was a wide range of products it felt less stocked than a typical Daiso. The low lighting made it difficult to read some packaging, I didn't find it to be very well lit in comparison to most retail stores like Target or DollarTree. Staff was less friendly than typical for Daiso, but they also seemed to be understaffed, so maybe I was just there on a bad day for them. Parking at this location is ample, there's a huge free lot, but you have to walk a ways to find the entrance and go to the store. I've been going to this shopping center for 5 years and only just discovered it was there, so it's not very obvious to find. Have not been in this store but the location is In the mall at city of alameda county south shore mall on the middle of the mall back end left side of the parking lot this shopping mall is very large they have different store next too each other and there is a Ross store,first bank of marin,a bright dental,office maxx copy store, walgreens, safeway stores, traders joe,asia discount store, ultra store,pizza outlet,party store, doctor office,gas station,chase bank, kohls store,lots of different restaurant's and there is chill's restaurant,lots of walking to get to all different stores and on the far end of park ave in alameda county there is the alameda beach ⛱️⛱️ and if u are not driving the AC transit bus line 20 alameda will take you there and u can get that bus line at the fruitvale bart station transport of all...
