Never have I had such a rude experience at a Target. I have a 14 month old service dog IN TRAINING. That knew we were going to the Starbucks first and got excited about a pup cup and barked at the girl behind the counter to say hi. She was immediately corrected. However while Iām trying to pay an employee named Henry I think said he āspoke with security & dogs are not allowed in the store and we need to leaveā I looked at him and was like sheās in training and a young dog but all he cared about was a couple barks.
She is training as my hearing dog & learning the rules but it can take 2-3 years for them to be fully trained as they donāt mature until then but how is she suppose to gain experience and training without going into stores? I almost left right then and there but there were some nicer employees that asked if I needed anything and complimented on my dog without bothering her.
However it was very obvious that security, employees and that man were following us around the store & that was uncalled for. My dog stayed calm while I looked for makeup & then while we checked out. Iāve gone into Publix, hobby lobby and Walmart with no issues and never been approached. The only other time she barked was when the one cart guy came in and wanted to say hi and obviously my dog enjoyed it because we were leaving and told weāre going home and made a quick bark. I did speak with a manager but even after cooling off Iām still pretty upset and donāt plan to go back to this target unless I have to.
I feel my dog was targeted as soon as we walked in because sheās a German shepherd. Thatās very dog racist if thatās the case as she has adhd and can only do short exposures right now. I think this employee needs to be spoken with even if the manager I spoke with said the man is a manager or with security. SDs donāt require vests but my dog had a bright pink vest with SERVICE DOG IN TRAINING all over the damn...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately, this target has consistently disappointed. Their inventory is weak and the store is not organized in a consumer friendly manner. Prices are also higher than their competitors in town. The staff has been kind, but lacking in store knowledge my last 3 visits. For example, my last 2 visits have been for bridal or baby registry gifts. The online registrys were much more convenient than in store; however, not mobile friendly with needed info on the first screen of my large phone. After finding the area of the store i wanted, the clothing was not in size or product order and there was, maybe, one item per size (but in 3 different cases, only 1 of 3 sizes...none in the registrants desired size). At checkout the cashier was on her phone...that honestly didnt bother me but was not very professional, and she put it away as soon as i approached...and when i asked for a gift receipt for the sale, she printed one for the gift bag. I went to customer service where she helped print a gift receipt for the entire sale...she thinks...but recommended i just give the real receipt to the mama because she (the customer service rep) could not verify what was on the gift receipt. Wait, then what is the point of the gift receipt? Ugh. I do my best to shop at other stores in town. Customer service is important to me, but not offered at this Target. The store was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughter tried on some clothes in the dressing room today 02-26-25. She decided on a pair of pants but went back to find a different size shirt to try on. While she was looking back at the rack in the store she realized that she left her airpods in the dressing room. She rushed back to the dressing room and the shirts that did not fit her well were gone. But whoever got them out of the dressing room left her airpods in the dressing room. My daughter was very relieved that they were left in there for her. I told her she was lucky that there was an honest person working the dressing rooms and did not stick her air pods in their on pocket. Thank you honest Target employee at the...
