On Thursday, December 14, 2023. Myself and 13 of my family members dined in your Albany, GA Longhorns restaurant and we had the worst time of our lives. We were there to celebrate my upcoming retirement from the United States Navy, my sister's retirement from the United States Air Force, 3 family member's birthdays and my brother's college graduation. We made reservations for 8:30pm. Upon arriving to the restaurant we were told that we had to wait 15 minutes. The 15 minutes turned into 35 minutes and we were all still unable to sit together. After we were seated it took 15 minutes before a waitress took our drinks and appetizers orders. It took us nearly 20 minutes to receive some of our appetizers and drinks. Not all the drinks nor appetizers were served so we asked for them and received rude responses from the staff members. One of the appetizers couldn't be eaten because it had a funny spell. After waiting over and hour some of us finally received our food that was less than the longhorn standards. Some never received their food and some of us had issues with our food. One of our member's had hair in their food. 4 of us ordered steaks and they were all seasoned with extra spicy seasonings. I eat at longhorn often and I have never had a spicy filet migon and this time it was HOT. One of our family member's can't tolerate any hot spices on her food so she politely asked the waitress to take it back because it was burning her mouth and she couldn't eat it. About 10 waitresses were standing around watching to see the reactions of our party as if they were aware of our food being tampered with. One of the waitresses started an altercation with my family member and began to cause a scene. Apparently the waitress family member that was having a party in the restaurant that started at 4:30 didn't agree with the discussion between the waitress and my family member so he involved himself in the conversation and started being belligerent and acting as if he was going to attack us. This experience that was suppose to be a celebration for us turned into a nightmare. 7 members of our party have been sick sense this night and I don't want to make false accusations but the only common denominator is Longhorns. The managers were helpful and understanding but they were unable to control their staff and allowed a guest to host a party that took up most of the seating from 4:30pm until closing because they were associated with a waitress there. They didn't call the police for the disturbance and it forced us to leave. We paid for food that we weren't able to eat and some never got their food. I will be reaching out to the health inspector in GA and my lawyer to decide what's the best course of action in this manor. I am very dissatisfied by the way your Albany, GA restaurant is ran and I will never eat there again nor advise any one else to eat there either. We were treated as if we weren't good enough...
Read moreIt’s hard to know where to even begin here. I could really dig in, or I could just say that the ultimate mind blow was when the bartender literally told us she’d get to our drink order later. We sat for quite a while with empty drinks. When we first arrived, it took a while for her to muster the energy to wipe the counter for us to sit… which was fine. There’s were multiple empty seats that needed a wipe down and she wasn’t feeling a sense of urgency, I will guarantee you. It then took a strange amount of wandering around to muster the notion to get our first drink order. But she eventually did. She finally asked us if we wanted bread… we did, and when it came, we asked for utensils, which never came. After a while of brushing my fingers off and dabbing my lips with my fingers, I finally walked to the front of the house and found silverware myself. It was well after we got the bread. We sat with empty drinks for quite a while… no water either. I got bored waiting, and cleaned our bread board up, and wiped down our counter top. My husband finally asked if we could order, but alas, it wasn’t quite time for that either. When it was time to mozy over and take our order, we asked if we could order drinks, and the bartender said that she’d get our food order in and then come back for our drink order. Well, that never happened either. But hey, the hostess walked up and noticed my sheer shock when asked how we were doing. She saw the empty seen as captured in the attached photo. That photo was taken well before she showed up, but it still looked that way. If anyone is wondering, it was 7:30 pm on Easter Sunday and the bar was only half full. I’ve never seen it so empty. My husband had driven to visit another son out of town this weekend. He took care of everyone else all weekend, then he drove back into town and wanted to do something very simple to unwind before bed. Today is his birthday so I was hoping he could have a nice steak and a few drinks, and good service. Well, in a word, it sucked. The steak was good. Thank you to the kitchen staff. The hostess did her best… she even made a few of our drinks (much appreciated), and washed glasses while the bartender was MIA, and apparently informed the bartender that we didn’t appreciate her absolute lack of interest in our presence. I’d appreciate the lack of her presence if I ever decide to set food back into that establishment, but I likely won’t for a good while,...
Read moreWhere do I even start? It started out pretty smooth as far as getting seated. It took about 5 minutes for our server to get to us. It went well all the way until they brought out the bread. We realized that we didn't have silverware. I stopped him before he got to far away and asked for utensils and some cinnamon butter (one of the many reasons I love Long Horns). It took about 10 minutes for him to get back with silverware (he brought 2 sets; there were 4 of us). By the time he got back, we had already devoured the bread so I let the cinnamon butter go. At this point, I'm a little irritated buy not mad. The server comes back, takes our order, and never comes back...... I went to talk to a manager 20 minutes or so after ordering. He did come back, but it was 30 minutes later (I have needed a refill of sweet tea for about 15 minutes so far). He asks if we need anything else, and I asked for a sweet tea. He goes to get the tea when my wife starts freaking out because there is a long black hair weaving in and out of our 2 year olds Mac and cheese. Now I want to see the manager again. The server brings my tea back and we show him the hair. Then the manager shows up as I have just found some black gunk around the rim of my glass. At this point, I can see her sympathy for us as she is witnessing all of our struggles. She goes to get me a new glass of sweet tea. By the time she comes back I realize that my steak is undercooked and simply request that they throw it back on for a minute or two. We also realized that my wife is missing one of her sides She apologized a million times and tells us that she is going to cover our check. We go back and forth on that because I really don't like being that person. Eventually she wins. I was at the point that I just wanted to leave, but at this point, my 10 year old, 2 year old, and 9 month old are starving.
What makes this so bad is that we can't afford to eat there that often. We didn't get the things that make it special to us (cinnamon butter), good service, or food cooked right and without hair in it. It was a total bust.
Thank you for paying for our food and that does make us feel a little bit better, but we were really looking for the good experience that we have seen in the past. Instead we wasted two and...
