This is my experience with LazyBoy! And if it hadn't been for Leah, Olivia and Brandon, I would never shop LazyBoy again! They are the crowning jewels in LazyBoy's somewhat tarnished crown.
I went into LazyBoy in May of 2023 and ordered a sofa and a reclining rocker chair. I ordered the sofa in a beautiful turquoise color and the recliner in a golden tan. This is what I got...
No where near the colors I ordered, but we accepted it because it took so long to get it. We paid 8,000 and some change for both pieces. And we have had nothing but issues since receiving them.
Not done, not complete and here we are waiting another 10 weeks for it to be completed.
And I should mention when the seat without the memory foam was sent, your stupid lot at corporate wanted to quibble about how the order was placed by the distribution center, not giving a damn about me the consumer. I had to point that out to you when you sent me a questionnaire and then you got on it. Only for me to receive the incomplete product pictured above.
At this point, I would like some compensation for the hell you have put me through. $1,000, maybe $2,000 as this has been going on since September 2023.
I think I deserve better!
On a positive note, Brandon, Olivia, and Leah at your distribution center in Albuquerque are literally the stars that shine the brightest in your now tarnished reputation, due to your corporate incompetence.
Last thing you should know, when I went back to the store to complain about the initial problem I had with the sofa. The sales people there were like you bought it, it's yours. They didn't want to help me at all. Leah, at the Distribution Center in Albuquerque was the most gracious and helpful employee to assist us with our issues. Obviously, she surrounds herself with great people, because as I mentioned before, her crew, Brandon and Olivia have been absolute treasures to work with.

Read moreInitially, we were very impressed with La-Z-Boy. Since then, we feel like we’ve had to fight with them to get anywhere with the warranty.
We requested a replacement Side table about two years ago when a piece of wood fell out. We spent about $500 to buy a warranty for the furniture.
A gentleman came and photographed the table and the piece of wood. After that another person came and did the same thing. The replacement table arrived over six months later. That table was defective and we refused it.
We were told a replacement table was ordered and again were told it would take a while for it to come in. We waited and waited…. A year went by, and I called them and said where is our table?
They said that we had already received the table. La-Z-Boy kept no documentation on their end to show the table had ever been refused. I signed “Refused”on the packing slip that day. Also to complicate matters, the entire staff that was there last year was no longer working to so no one could collaborate our claim.
I explained everything to the lady in the Service Department on the phone and received a phone call shortly thereafter From La-Z-Boy requesting pictures of the wood, table , etc….
In the end La-Z-Boy decided to refuse our warranty claim explaining that as far as they were concerned, we had already received the table a year earlier.
I demanded to speak to a manager and explained the entire situation. Again, we were waited to hear back from La-Z-Boy. We were actually considering going to small claims court.
Weeks later, I got a call saying that we were going to get a new table and they would give us a call when it arrived. When it arrived today, it was missing a screw that stopped a tray at the top of the table from coming out. The very same reason I had refused the table a year earlier. One of the service men called his boss and asked what to do. His boss asked him if he had a screw in the truck and fortunately, they were able to fix it.
We have enjoyed the furniture we purchased at La-Z-Boy. We have enjoyed working with their sales team during the purchase. Since then our experience has been very negative.

They are telling me that a part was ordered wrong and they are disputing the need to replace it, trying to put it on the Distribution Center. I had nothing to do with it and yet I am being punished for their error. So much for great customer service. At this point, I will not recommend LazyBoy to anyone.

If the only people I have to deal with is Leah, Olivia and Brandon. I would buy everything from LazyBoy. They are my only glimmer of hope that my sofa will be restored very to the sofa I ordered.
The longer this feud between Corporate and the Distribution Center goes on and I am inconvenienced the less likely I will recommend LazyBoy to my friends, family or strangers.

NO ISSUES with the Distribution Center or the store, it's the manufacturer I take issue with. After 14 months of dealing with LazyBoy, they agreed to swap out my sofa. It was supposed to take 6 weeks, which is shocking, considering I waited 10 weeks on the first sofa. I got it 2 weeks early, to my surprise. It was supposed to be showroom ready. It was anything but, there were puckers in the leather where it was supposed to be smooth, the back of the sofa had 3 different heights, there was extra padding in one side of the sofa, there was some loose stitching. It is deplorable. Needless to say, you have one more chance to fix it or else I want a full refund including what I paid for the second warranty of it which with tax and everything should be around $6,000. If I could charge you for the frustration and hassle of this 18 month process, I would ask for an extra million and the termination of the people who sent this piece of crap to me. Your manufacturer is the absolute worst and is destroying the credibility of the LazyBoy Brand!
