If you're looking for functional, at a slightly better price than you might find somewhere else, this might be the place for you. If you're looking for a clean, well-maintained place to stay with secure parking, good outdoor lighting, etc., this isn't the place for you. I'll start you at the beginning.... I booked online and showed up at 11:15pm one night, got my card-key, and reported to my room, stuck the key in the slot, and was greeted by a young man staying in that room, who was kind and informed me that I had the wrong room. I returned to the front desk and informed the gal at the desk that there was already someone in that room. She said, "Really? Oh, cheeeeesh" and proceeded to give me a different room and accompanying card for said room. No apology; that was it. I booked the room for two nights, and then asked the front desk person a few days later for a weekly rental. She charged me $378. I said, "There's a sticker on the door that states that the weekly rate is $299" for a single room and bed. She informed me that there is "new management" and that they "haven't gotten around to changing the stickers." Happy--but not thrilled--with the place I had secured for a while, I opted to rent the room for another week, then two weeks. Upon time to renew my rental for another week, I asked if there was a discount for renting a few weeks at a time, or a month at a time. I was informed that there was indeed a discount, but that I couldn't activate it retroactively. I asked why I had not been informed of that on the front end, and there was no explanation given. A large black guy in the background simply said, "She shouldn't have done that." That was it. I was also informed half-way through my stay that I needed to provide a $100 CASH deposit, but that it would be returned if the room was in good condition when I left (I left this morning and received my cash back). The third or fourth night I was there, the police impounded a vehicle from the parking lot that had clearly hit a pedestrian (the windshield had clearly sustained damage from a pedestrian). The sixth night of my stay, I was awakened at 2:37am to two men arguing loudly in the parking lot, dropping F-Bombs and "ni#$a" every other word. The next night, a man stood just outside my door and argued with someone on the phone, screaming loudly for at least fifteen minutes. Several nights later, another loud argument ensued in the parking lot that lasted nearly an hour. Oh, and there are at least a few homeless people that just roam the parking lot looking for unlocked vehicles and ask passers-by for cigarettes; it likely doesn't help that there is a bus-stop immediately next to the hotel. All that just to say.... It's what you can expect in Albuquerque. But, at just $10 or so less per night than other, much nicer hotels with nicer accommodations and better location, it's not a great place. It certainly could've been worse. And, I can imagine someone reading this review--the owner or manager of the hotel perhaps, in particular--and replying with, "Yeah, but you stayed there for five weeks." And, they'd be right. It was my second stay at a local hotel, and I didn't feel like moving all of my stuff again, or taking the chance that I might find somewhere even worse. The staff was somewhat helpful and courteous, as were the cockroaches in my room, the fast-food trash left on the stairs outside my room each night, etc. So, overall, it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't...
Read moreTwo weeks ago I booked a room at this establishment for a two week stay paying weekly for the room until I could move to my new location tomorrow. The staff was nice and courteous in the beginning until the week when I renewed my room for the last remaining week. The only service I received was fresh towels and washcloths nothing further. My issue was brought up to one of the cleaning staff politely and respectfully with a promise that they would log it in the office. Next day still no clean linen I called the office and they stated that it was supposed to be cleaned I informed them it was not. The next day after Work still no clean sheets called the office again received an apology and a runaround again. After a week and a half with nothing but clean towels to show in my room I went to the front desk and changed my sheets themselves. The big issue for me was finally asking for a manager and the General Manager named Hazel spoke with me and immediately seemed unconcerned with my issue. As a manager I would believe it would be your responsibility being the last resort the customer has to log a complaint to be attentive and sensitive to those needs. Hazel was not any of the before mentioned and on numerous occasions interrupted me and finally stated that the room showed that it was clean as scheduled when I finally had enough of being polite and finally had to talk over her to again explain that the room had not been clean without cursing or threatening her she simply dismissed me as being rude and disconnected the call I called back and was met again with a disconnection. I took time on my lunch break and went personally where Hazel the General Manager did not come out but had her Associate Tara who is just a front desk employee come out and handle the situation. After talking with Tara about Hazels rudeness and mistreatment Hazel emerged from the back completely dismissive and basically explained to me that I had an hour to leave the premises or she would contact the local police Department doing this without knowing what situation I was in. If I had the means to move or anything, she also stated that I refused service the day I spoke with her and I explained that I already changed my sheets personally the night before and tonight would be my last night there as I was checking out the next day so why bother. As a Manager of a service that is supposed to provide Hospitality and customer service and deal with a customers issue Hazel showed not one of these traits or characteristics of that or what a general manager is supposed to embody. I have escalated this incident with corporate to ensure that this issue does not happen to any other paying customer that has a grievance. I Will ensure that this review goes on every possible review board until proper action has been taken to make sure that Hazel knows that customers will not just be run over or intimidated when they have a legitimate complaint of a business And service that they paid for with their hard...
Read moreIt was the worst experience EVER!! We had complaints the whole stay. The 1st night we had bed bugs and centipedes, they made us stay in that room they called terminix and they finally came and sprayed 4 days later.I worked a 14 hour shift and they wouldn't even let me give authorization over the phone, they needed me to physically be there to show my ID. When I got off my shift at 7 am I got to the hotel at 7:15 am used the courtesy phone, we waited for 45-55 min on that phone and no one picked up. Someone finally shows up at 8:10, her name was Tara she was very RUDE! I also mentioned the fact that the night audit person didn't answer the phone. She throws her hands all over the place telling me she didn't know what the "H" she wanted me to do, that she doesn't make the schedule. I told her I am not telling you what schedule to work just wanted to let u know we had been trying to get into our room because my boyfriend slept in our car on the property. The MOD which was Nicole tried to play the role as the GM because the GM was NEVER onsite, said I was being rude to the staff which I was started to get upset because we are paying money and being treated the way we did.On 07/30 I called in the morning and asked to speak to the GM because we wanted to extend our stay, and to see if we could get refunded the difference because we paid an add 3 nights.I wanted to add another week, but had to go cash my check and talked to Nicole and she said she wouldn't be able to give me a refund but would allow me to pay later on in the evening just to call if I had any questions. Well when I go to the hotel Michelle was at the front and states that I was placed on the DNR list and shows me the notes that all the employees leave about me. Said that there was nothing that she can do, just had to go back for all our stuff in the morning when the GM was there. We ended up sleeping in our car AGAIN and waited for the morning. Hazel has Nicole talk to us and we were about to get our stuff when she (hazel) comes around the corner saying Do we have a Problem? I told her yes we have had problems, since the beginning of our stay and we wanted to get our stuff. Well she tells me that I was being unprofessional I was so upset I took off walking, I happened to pass by the room the window and door was open so I went by no one was there so I started to gather our things together. Maintenance older man comes by the room and states what the f are you doing here you are...
