If I could give this store ZERO stars, I would! The owner is VERY rude!!! (Read till the end)
This was going to be my first time selling with them. First of all, the rules in order to sell your items here are ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I understand the safety precautions. But for example, I was selling brand new, with tags, baby blankets and it was denied on the spot.
I was about to leave my items there for the buying process and walk back to my car with the items that were denied. Specifically had about 6 new and packaged "Frozen" party decorations that weren't allowed (no problem, I gladly was going to take them to my car.) When a mom spotted them and asked if I was planning to sell them.
I told her I honestly was planning to give them away for free and if she wanted them. Mom was thrilled and proceeded to get them from my hand when we got rudely cut off by the owner.
I was told that if I'm planning to sell stuff in her store that I will need to walk out and talk outside.
I simply tried to explain that I wasn't planning on selling them and was giving them away, for free, to a mom who saw them in my hand.
The owner then told me she didn't care and to walk out of HER store if I was planning to engage with this mom in giving her FREE stuff.
I looked at the owner, told her I've heard bad things about this place but was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. How I was simply trying to help another mom out with her kiddos party by giving her free stuff.
I then told her how ridiculous she was being, that I WILL NOT support such an awful business, and grabbed my stuff I was planning to sell, and walked out.
Mind you, I am not a mean person. Even speaking with the owner this way was "not me." However, someone needs to tell her that in order to be sucessful in such a business, she needs to be respectful to her customers. No matter if it was wrong or not.
I would have simply told the mom to meet me outside, if I was nicely encountered and given and explanation. But instead, the owner raised her voice at me, kicked me out, and claimed she didn't care when I tried to explain my reasoning.
DON'T SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! INSTEAD JUST SELL YOUR CHILDREN'S ITEMS ONLINE/IN-PERSON. YOU'LL GET MUCH MORE FOR IT ANYWAY.
P.S the mom gladly followed me outside and retrieved the FREE decorations. Not returning inside the store because she too was uncomfortable and apologizing TO ME in regards to the owners actions. Lost two customers, in not even an hour, you...
Read moreWorst customer service Iâve ever had!!! Never go back!!!! Brought in 3 bags (with no holes or rips) on Friday at noon. Waited 30 minutes to be helped with 3 employees doing nothing but talking to eachother as Iâm standing there waiting to be helped. A lady comes up to me which is the âmanagerâ so she called herself, and said what do you need? So rude not even a welcome for my first time there, told me they canât take 3 bags and I have to fit them all into one, which I was nice enough to already separate all the brand new never worn shoes in one bag, brand new never used toys in another, and matching outfits with the jackets and everything freshly washed 2 times in the last bag. I never got a call back to pick up my clothes so I call them Friday evening before close and they tell me to come back before close Saturday, so I did with my son when we both have the flu, drove another 30 minutes back there for them to tell me itâs my fault a employee went home having a deathly allergic reaction opening my bags and had to go home early so they canât help me or serve me. Handing me 2 ripped bags with holes. I asked why they never called me to let me know? And the same âmanagerâ that helped me the previous day says because itâs your fault my employee had to go home. I go to walk out with my child and no one asks to help me or anything as she handed me ripped bags with holes Iâm trying to walk back to my car and the clothes fell out all over the floor. I go back in to ask to speak to a owner which the âmanagerâ told me wasnât available which she lied yet again. To ask for a new bag since what kind of customer service hands you ripped bags and says figure it out when I didnât bring them in looking like that. The owner said they donât normally provide bags for customers? Wtf and than tells me if I wash them AGAIN because they donât have a washer or dryer which is ridiculous considering when I asked them to show me where the dog hair is they refused. why would I ever go back and give them business. she said they do it for the safety of the kids which is bs than youâd get a cleaning system in line before opening your business wouldnât you? to think that parents arenât going to wash the second hand used clothes again themselves when they get home is WILD to me!!!! ridiculous and Iâve never had worst customer service than this place donât...
Read moreI don't know what to say. I left OUAC feeling embarrassed. My first experience was very positive. The owner met with me, shook my hand. I felt very welcomed.
The second time I left feeling insulted. Not the kind of place I want to take my business. I dropped off clothes and I was told that they didn't want them because they were not "freshly laundered". These are second hand clothes. And yes, they were. Name brand, expensive pieces. I honestly don't know what they are expecting. What constitutes "freshly laundered" anyways. I'm supposed to go home rewash then, bring them back, and to be told again that they're not "freshly laundered" enough?
And not only that, but then to be told, "you had some nice pieces but they need to be freshly laundered". Like I was handing rags and filth to them. I was so embarrassed that the girl kept saying that in front of the whole store and loudly. I just wanted to leave. This is not how you treat anyone. It could have just been said, "we can't take this bag right now". Just awful customer service. And to think that I would even return after being insulted. No way. I'm sure that everyone's experience will differ. But just be warned that they are rude. The owner is wonderful and friendly. Unfortunately, who ever spoke to me was not.
So, instead I gave the clothes to a non profit in which they will be more appreciative.
I don't plan on going back. Please give to other places that care. They're willing to embarrass their customers. Not a good business model.
ETA: I understand the store policy. It was the way in which it was said to me. It was in a rude tone and manner. If it had been said in a friendly, well intentioned way, that would have been fine. No mention of the store policy. Just insinuating that the clothes were dirty, like I did not spend time cleaning the clothes. I understand the policy but the rudeness should not...
