Overall not a good experience. When we bought the house they told us it would be ready to deliver in about 6 weeks. It took six months though it may have been the manufacturer who made it take so long. But it was terrible because they kept assuring us every month or so, that it would just be a few more weeks. The seller gave us wrong information several times as well and the company doesn't have a big enough rig to deliver to areas that aren't paved or gravel. Which made us have to pay someone else a lot to use a bigger rig to deliver the house. Some of the staff were good and communicationed well.
The quality of homes they sell is VERY low in my opinion, though they also have lower prices than others. But beware of the poor quality homes. Also, the guy who came out to fix anything that broke in transit was really nice, but in the end our new house had a lot of problems that they didn't fix and the manufacturer didn't fix. Among these are windows that you can barely open or close, poorly installed windows that let sand filter into the house through the window frame, cabinets that still have nails and screws sticking out where they screwed through in the wrong spot and a door latch that is terribly crooked (and if I fix the crooked latch then the door no longer will close).
One of the things that was the most frustrating was early on when they called us a said they could give us the house we wanted it two weeks, but then a few days later they called back and said that it was a mistake as the other buyers had decided to go through with the purchase after all! ( They should not have told us we had a house if the other contract with another buyer hadn't actually been terminated yet! That was very unprofessional and distressing to us as we were living with three small kids in an RV and had been so excited for days about having a house soon. You can image the disappointment) If you can afford to go through a company that has better quality homes and service, I would certainly recommend it, but if like us we were at the time only able to afford their quality, then they will do I suppose. Not sure whether I should give them 2 or 3 stars. Some of the frustrations we had with them have not been mentioned because we aren't sure if it's their fault or the...
Read moreVery friendly people , was reassuring about how beautiful they would fix up repo we liked. I wanted to wait until they finished repairing but liz was pressing us to buy and sign contracts before house was repaired or they would sell it to someone else. Don't worry she said it will look beautiful she said. So we reluctantly give a large deposit and signed agreement. Before we agreed to purchase they were fixing up house on the lot and i was told they would be finishing it soon and we could stop by any time to see progress. 6 weeks after signing I stopped by to look at house I assumed by now it would be finished but it wasn't and had been moved to a back lot and appeared all repairs stopped when we bought it. the front door wide open letting in weather and who knows what animals moved in with doors open. I asked when repairs would be finished? I couldn't get a straight answer she kept saying it was sold as is. Few days later Liz contacted me with exscuses, equipment broken, covid , supplies delayed and she was not too friendly this time. I told her we lost confidence that house was going to be repaired as promised. We did get deposit back with little trouble and found something elsewhere. Our experience with repo depo was like buying a used car from the shady corner car lot. Any ANY promises they make get it in writing, repairs, extras, delivery date if they won't put it on contract or in writing I recommend looking elsewhere. Everything they verbally told us they denied saying after they...
Read moreOne star because we can't give zero, my fiancé and I were looking at homes. We found one we were completely in love with and had everything we needed. We live out of town so we voiced concerns of delivery but were met with reassurance and confidence that it could be done. We proceeded to sell our home for the down-payment got everything done. It took four months to get everything set and finalized closing costs set. Everything was signed and the home was sold to us. They finally went to look at the property said they'd have it delivered for us 3 days from then, 15 minutes later they called and said they refused to take our home anymore, because the road was going to snap our home in half. They tried to strong arm us into a small double wide that was nothing we wanted, after we refused they told us there's nothing more they can do and gave us our money back and broke the contract. It's unfortunate we were left without a home, thousands of dollars spent to get the property ready to be left high and dry. They think giving us the money that's rightfully our back is going to fix everything. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Update: We purchased a home though Zia Factory after everything, they came out same day to do an inspection of the property, we were able to purchase a newer version of the home we were promised. Same size, and it was moved within a few days of closing. It took ONE HOUR to get it set on the property. PLEASE find competent people to do...
