As an avid Starbucks drinker, this location is by far the worst location to visit in Albuquerque. It is the most unethical, unprofessional, inefficient and messy store. The female staff members make the interactions insufferable (they lack customer service). I’ve given this location several opportunities in hopes that I had gone on a bad day. However, they are consistent in making drinks undrinkable because of how horrible they taste, not being able to keep up with the traffic they get and allowing for their bad days/moments to bleed out onto customers. Opportunities would be to revamp the staff, more thorough training on customer service (especially since they are the face of the company), and basic training on handing clean cups rather than sticky, messy all around. Also, follow preexisting instructions on how to make drinks correct and flavorful. The female staff primarily make it seem as though they are being held against their will. If you decide to stop here because it’s on the way, be sure to order on the app rather than in person, because even placing an order feels like an argument at this location. It's a shame that we as consumers are gladly willing to spend our hard-earned money and understand that there may be wait times, only to be discouraged after the first interaction/sip due to low quality. Read moreI ordered some items from there. One of the items were caramel ribbon crunch which was made wrong. It had cinnamon in it, so when we arrived back to Starbucks I told the girl that it tasted like cinnamon and she had this blank expression as she read the instructions on the cup which didn't even mention cinnamon which she stated, "we don't make it cinnamon." I said," I know they don't but it has it." She offered to make a new one and I told her no if I could get a refund or a gift card so I can order it from another Starbucks. She said we have to keep this one and I told her yea keep it I don't want it. The way she said it was like I was trying to get something for free which I felt was disrespectful. Before I left I told her whoever is making the drinks need to pay attention cause what if someone couldn't have spice and they got really sick that wouldn't be good. Oh and when we were at the drive thru window the girl there almost forgot to give us the other part of our order and the other girl had to remind her and she still didn't give it to us til we said something too. if you have been driving a long time and need to clean out your cup, know that it is difficult to do so in this type of sink. so either bring in a smaller cup, or carry water in your car to rinse your coffee cup out with, or angle larger travel mugs. i got the job done, though i’d prefer one tall spigot to rinse out my mug with. that’s just a personal preference, so i’m still giving perfect five stars.
i’ve been to this location quite a bit, and service is always fast and friendly, and the lobby has always been open and clean. as with all Starbucks i’ve been to, food and drinks are great.
