Dropped off a poster to get framed because they were having a 70% discount. I dropped off my poster to be framed on September 22, 2018. The associate was very helpful and walked me through what frames are best for my poster. They took a picture of my poster and showed me a couple different images of what different frames look like around my poster.
I chose a frame and paid. They gave me a picture of what the poster will look like and the receipt. There was a date shown on the receipt for when the order will be ready but the lady said it could be a day or two later. The pick up date said October 6, 2018.
Two weeks later I didn't hear back so I called on Monday, October 15 to find out the status. The woman said the poster will be ready by Wednesday. I received a call on Friday saying my poster is ready for pick up.
I arrived on Saturday, October 20 and they unveiled the framed poster. Unfortunately, there was a big, noticeable crease in the upper left corner of the poster. There were no creases before because I unrolled the poster when they took pictures to show what the other frames would look like.
I told her about the crease and she said it's better to come in the next day because the manager would be in the office.
I arrived the next day and showed the manager (Julie) the crease in the upper left corner. She apologized and said they could probably resolve it by using some time of black marker that can cover these type of issues. She said she will call me when it's been fixed and then we can talk about getting a discount for the poster. I said no problem and I'll wait for the call.
Two weeks later, I haven't heard anything so I called back and the manager (Julie) said the poster has not been fixed yet but will call me in a couple days after the crease is covered. Julie called me a week later (I believe I received the phone call on Friday, November 2) saying the crease cannot be covered up so they will use a MAT to surround the frame and should cover up the crease. She apologized and said I will not be charged for the MAT cover and she will call me when the poster is done.
I called them today (Wednesday, November 28, 2018) to find out the status of my poster. The gentleman in the Framining Department (didn't get a name) said nothing has been done with my poster. I asked when the manager will be in and he said tomorrow (November 29). I told him to give Julie my contact information so I can get my poster back before the end of 2018.
I'm hoping to get a call tomorrow and, hopefully, some can fix my poster.
I got the poster when I visited Germany so, unfortunately, it's not easy to get another one. I told them this when I was purchasing the poster and would be very hard to get another copy but still got creased.
I would not recommend this store for any framing needs. I paid over $300 to get my poster framed and that is after receiving a 70% discount.

Recently, I had bad luck by blowing out 2 of the 4 tires from my beloved Acura SUV after losing an argument with a curb on Edsall Rd. overpass to I-395. I managed to get my Acura towed to Liberty service station, and the guys there (thank you, Willie!) were awesome. they checked my car in and were able to give me an estimate for the 2 tires as soon as I arrived and right then and there. After getting the estimate, I agreed to it, and the tires ordered, I let Liberty do the rest. I got my car back the next day, and everything was perfect with my car! they fixed the damaged rim as best they could, and best of all they went above and beyond by checking the mechanics where the first tire smashed the curb and noting that there was no serious damage to my car other than it needing an alignment. Willie even accounted for and added to my invoice a military discount before I asked him about it. I absolutely love the guys at Liberty Service Station and will use them and recommend them as often as I can!!! My husband and I had an item framed professionally for the first time at Michael's. While the staff in the framing department was always very nice to us (and helped us pick out great frame and mats), we experienced problems with how long the job took and lack of communication from the framing department about the status of our order.
We submitted a complaint on the Michaels website. The next day, we received a call from Charmelle, one of the managers at this location. She apologized for the lack of communication, and offered us a price adjustment. We showed up at the store one evening when she wasn't working, and she actually called us back THAT NIGHT from what we believe was her personal cell phone. On her time off. She told us exactly when she would be back and that she would be happy to meet us then.
The price adjustment was generous, but what really will bring us back to the store is Charmelle! This was awesome customer service by Michaels and one of its store managers, and we will be back! (Oh and our framing job ended up looking...
