I had one of the worst experiences a bride could have while purchasing her dress. After ordering a new dress, I was given the stock floor model. The stock floor model was the same size dress of the one that was supposed to be brand new. I ordered this on October 17th and the press date of the dress showed October 21st. We went in to try our bridesmaids dresses on in November and I was told my dress would be coming in January. No one called in January and I had to call them in February to see if my dress was in, and of course it was. They claimed that this was a new dress- had at least 7 snags on it and a broken hem line on the chest. After seeing the press date on the dress, a complaint was made and they instantly agreed to order me a new dress. I asked to see the order receipt to prove that this would be a new dress and they refused to show me. That's because they never ordered it in the first place. When the second dress came in, it was made completely wrong, it was way too small. I tried to call them about my issue and I decided to just go in the store. As I was walking into the store (door was wide open in the summer day), they were having a morning huddle and talking about how they would just ignore my voicemail and my issue and tell me that there isn't a manager on duty, as Patti, the manager is standing right there. Because the dress was too small, they suggested that it be hemmed and that they would pay half. After trying on the stock model to prove that it wasn't me they agreed to pay all hemming for the dress to be taken out. After months of dealing with this, I finally was able to talk to Jackie about this and still requested to see a receipt showing that they ordered the original new. Nothing ever came in the mail. Beware of being scammed if you order the same dress, I had to pay the exact same dollar amount for them trying to give me a stock model. Jackie promised to send me a receipt and never did. Read moreI am not one to write a bad review and usually just let things go, but this was too far. We rented our groomsmen suits from here and everything that could have gone wrong did. 3 groomsmen were measured here and all 3 had items shipped to us that were wrong. I thought, "okay accidents happen, they can still help fix it." I wasn't going to leave a 1 star review until this had happened: The owner of the store refused to re-send me the measurements that I had given to her (from another professional) because the groom had not tried on the pants yet that she had sent (he wasn't able to until it was too late as he lives 9 hours away). She re-sent the same size, which was still too big, THEN proceeded to call my Fiance and complain to him that "I needed to trust them". I WAS SO FRUSTRATED, how unprofessional!!! They shipped correction pieces FIVE different times in one week because some re-orders were even sent incorrectly! 4/5 Items did not come overnight, as promised, and one piece was shipped to their store 3 hours away instead of my house! We had to have a family member meet them to pick it up and that family member missed grooms supper as a result. Like I said, I am not one to leave bad reviews but that was so bad I couldn't not say something. Day of the wedding, things still did not all come in right and we had to make last minute store trips costing us more $$$, but I had given up with Jackie J's at that point. Read moreAfter going dress shopping in the cities twice, I was feeling down as I hadn’t found any dresses that I thought looked good on my body. Jackie J’s was recommended in a FB group by several brides so even though it was a hike from the cities, I called to make an appt and order a specific sample that I was I interested in trying on. The phone call alone was enough for me to give a 5 star review. I spoke with Jess who told me how many dresses they had in stock in my size range, discussed with knowledge several types of dresses that might look good based on the concerns I explained over the phone about my body issues (LARGE bust) and made me feel excited about coming in. When we arrived for our appt, we were warmly greeted by Jackie and offered mimosas. Jess was my stylist and she was great! It was like shopping with a girlfriend. She had truly paid attention to our phone conversation and had chosen several dresses that were the style I was interested in and also had choices I would never have picked on my own but actually looked really good! I found “the one” and really liked a few others so felt thrilled with my decision to go to Alexandria. Jess made me feel comfortable the entire process and has such a good eye! Jackie was there and checked in on us as well, chatting with my mom and future sister in law and also choosing dresses she thought would look good on me. The whole experience was wonderful.
