I entered Home Depot tool center rental to pick up a reserved track hoe rental for my brother, who had called ahead and was told he could pay over the phone and send me to pick it up. I drove an hour from my home to help him—he was two hours away and dealing with the loss of a beloved horse.
When I arrived, three people were at the service desk. Two appeared to be associates, and one was well-dressed, so I assumed he was a manager. I asked if someone could help me, and the young woman said, “In a minute.” I waited patiently for 15 minutes, only to find out the well-dressed man was a customer, and she was helping him with a broken rental item. She never acknowledged me again—not even a simple “I’ll be right with you.” I had to ask for help multiple times, and no one greeted me or made me feel welcome.
Then came the issue with my ID. I’ve used LA Wallet for two years without carrying a physical wallet, and every other business I’ve visited accepts it—except Home Depot. They told me I needed to scan it through their “CLEAR” app, which I’d never heard of. Why can’t their system verify LA Wallet directly? After spending 30 minutes in the store, they refused to release the reserved equipment, despite my brother’s prior arrangements and payment.
This experience was disappointing and unnecessarily difficult. I was trying to help my family during a hard time, and instead I was met with poor communication, lack of courtesy, and outdated verification policies. I hope Home Depot reevaluates how they treat customers and considers updating their ID systems to reflect...
Read moreWe should have bought our appliances straight from the brand itself. Or even Lowe's, who at least discounts military members. This store didn't have what they displayed at the store so we waited for it on back order. Paid well over $1,500 and Ethan told us delivery, all charges, everything was taken care of (aside from a hose we decided to buy elsewhere) and that we just needed to wait for the delivery. Three weeks later I get an automated call telling me I'll get my delivery in a 4 hour window the next day. I sit at home all day waiting and nothing. I finally call the store to see what's going on and they tell me it's been delivered to their store (an hour away from our home) and that we can pay an additional $133 to have it delivered to our house. My husband contacted them a few hours later and paid the additional charges. I will never shop at this store again. Not only were we given inaccurate information when we made our purchase, but the man Ethan was supposed to call me back to clear it all up. Never reached out to me. I tried calling the store back 8 times from my number and they wouldn't answer. Like they didn't want to deal with me (I was never rude or short with anyone). Don't buy appliances from this store. You're better off paying the company who makes...
Read moreChristmas Day my ice box went out so I went the day after at 7 am when they opened. All they had was 3 in stock to choose from . Needing one badly I got a Samsung . Got it home and had a bad time getting it in my home, but finally did. The one I bought had the big lcd screen. A error code came up upon boot up so I called Samsung service. After a hour on the phone the compressor would not power on so I loaded it and took back to the store . A total night mare of taking doors off fridge and house to get it through. What I learned today was SAMSUNG has no service reps in Louisiana. The service guys I called said you had They had to pay out of pocket to go take Samsung’s special class and they did not touch Samsung products. The manager in Alexandria had a look on his face like he could care less about me or my family. I picked up a whirlpool refrigerator they had which was my last option and it seems to be working fine. If you ever buy a Samsung product just remember getting service done is almost impossible especially in Central Louisiana. I started at 6:30 AM and finished at 6:30 PM after three trips to Alexandria and four hours on the telephone with idiots that didn’t understand anything. I will never buy Samsung again or probably ever go back to Home Depot for...
