Crumbl — Restaurant in Alexandria

I went in today because I never tried Crumbl before. We were not greeted when we walked in the door. We didn't know that we had to do our own orders on a computer screen because it was out of our peripheral vision when we walked in the door, we expected someone to help us or at least greet us. There was no communication whatsoever no smile we were given our cookies and I said thank you very much and didn't even get a thank you or you're welcome. Very cold staff, and they all look like they were in high school. I was going to speak with the manager, but we just took our cookies and left. We probably won't be back because even the little sign on the computer screen when we put our order in said please leave a tip if you receive a smile or something like that well, I left a tip but didn't even get a smile or even a welcoming face when we walked in. We only came to Crumbl because Little Cakes with Big Attitudes was closed and that's normally where we go because the staff are very friendly and very accommodating at Little Cakes with Big Attitudes. I love the mini cookies so I got 3. They were all warm and fresh. There were only 2 young men working here. Both were nice and all smiles. I bumped my review up to a 4 just because of this. This place is understaffed compared every other location I've visited. I've always seen 3 to 4 people working at any one time. The fact that the employee can still smile says a lot. It is not as clean as other locations, especially the carpet and floor. There is like some oily spots and crumbs on the counter, but i wonder if that is from customers. Some of the ordering and pickup monitors are dead. The one that works is greasy and customers are partially to blame if they are using greasy fingers to order. Use you greasy fingers on your greasy phone and order online.

I can't help but think these local managers or owners of nation chains just want to cash in on the big name and don't truly care about quality. That's a shame honestly and is probably a big reason many young people just want to...

Really want this business to succeed, but today's experience was very disappointing. The main issue is the cleanliness, upon arrival, the windows and doors were filthy, hand prints smear marks, very noticeable. I placed my order just to be disappointed the flavor I came in for was sold out. But that was ok, it happens, but then the wait was much longer than usual, the waiting area was packed; and while waiting for my order, you could see how dirty the floors and counter were, the mood of the workers was very melancholy. After waiting my name was called finally just to find out another flavor I ordered was sold out. Again no biggie, but the mood and the cleanliness was still very disturbing. I again reiterate how much I want this business to succeed, but if these issues are not resolved, it will not.
