First Presbyterian Church — Local services in Allentown

We have become friends with a family who are active members of the congregation, and were invited to attend the Christmas Even candle light service with them.

What a beautiful experience to see the analogy of many individual candles being lit from a candle representing the light of Christ! The entire sanctuary quickly cast off the darkness of the room, as the lights were dimmed and the candles held by each of the attendees were lit. We could see the world being lit, one by one. Very cool!

The sermons were good, and we especially enjoyed the music from the teen choir and bell choir. Our friends are good disciples of Christ, and enjoy their community at this...

My wife stopped in yesterday with my son as we just moved into the area. As soon as she walked in and stepped inside to what she didn’t know was a floor waxing in progress. The man working on the floors began to yell at my wife stating “hey you can’t walk in here there’s a fresh coat of wax! You just cost me a coat of wax!” She stated there was no sign anywhere stating anyone was working on the floors and he began to shout “unbelievable you just walk into an open door?”
