Overall it is a great place to shop for groceries. Great deals and prices. Although, their employees are a whole different scenario. Everytime I go into this redners specifically, the employees are always standing around and talking about their life stories with another employee instead of dealing with the customer in front of them. Unfortunately, if your like me who has Wic for their children they give you a hard time huffing and puffing as if it's not part of their job. Today I did two of my daughters Wic checks because, today is my only day off to do them I accidentally drop a baby food container and looked everywhere for an employee so they would know. I found one who told me it's not her job. So I moved on, I found four others talking in a group I said excuse me almost 5 times, only one looked at me, but yet still didn't even acknowledge me. I had to physically walk all the way up to them just to grab there attention for the last time of me saying excuse me. When I notified them of my accident the lady groaned and left to go clean it up, after she finished cleaning up the glass she complained to almost every employee she walked up to about how she gotten glass in her hand because of my accident she had to clean. Great way to make your customers feeling welcomed. I know no one wants to clean up glass early in the morning, but I didn't have to run around looking for an employee to notify them. When you hire school aged kids on summer break you get what you're paying for. Lazy, rude employees. I went through the check out the other day and got more than I intended in my grocery basket. There wasn't enough room on the belt to lay all my things out so I just left it in the basket. The cashier looked at it as if it were an alien baby and she didn't know what to do. While we stood there and stared at each other for a few moments she finally decided she'd reach her lazy little arms up to pull things from the basket. I had ice cream sundae staples and items to make a meatloaf dinner for Fathers Day. About ten items total. She slid each one across the scanner as if they each weighed about 100 pounds. It was exhausting watching her put forth so little effort. Since I did not have a cart she placed each bag on the bagging table. After I paid (without ever hearing a Hi or How are you doing today) she handed me the basket and instructed me to put it back where it belongs. I took it from her, set it on the floor and advised her I didn't work for Redner's and went on my way. Normally I shop at Giant even though Redner's is much closer to my home and this trip reminded me why I don't shop there. I worked in a grocery store in high school and was only ever pleasant. I work in customer relations in the hospitality business and found this young lady's attitude about her job and responsibilities atrocious. You can’t do any better can you Redners? 😂 Ran for a 5 gallon Primo water refills around 9 pm. Manufacturer had emailed me coupon for my purchase is the water fountain. I asked associate saw my coupon and took it to the manager? Manager came from the back, he looked no older then 15 years old, says they can’t accept my coupon. When I asked why he said because it looks like I printed it out .. which I did. Isn’t that’s how we get coupons these days.. online or emailed ? He said no he has never seen one that isn’t on shiny paper cut from a magazine 😳 I thought he was joking, but he wasn’t. He argued for about 10 minutes and he refused to scan to see if it even scanned.
