This would be a 5 star if we had made more purchases here, but we often find a better deal nearby. Fun to walk around and shop here though!
This is a local consignment/thrift store that has 2 "sides" which are the dollar side and regular side. The dollar side is clearly meant to move volume or slightly undesirable items more quickly and offers a mostly organized arrangement for shoppers. This section has become more full and organized since we have shopped here but we rarely buy from this side because it seems more geared toward children, families, and older shoppers.
The regular side has also become more full and they have added racks/shelves to help keep it more organized and fit more products on the floor. They have sale tag colors plus special tags for consignment items being sold for customers.
I can't say that the prices are amazingly low but they are competitive with other retailers and it gives items a 2nd chance at life rather than ending up in a landfill. If you shop regularly and keep an eye out for sales or price reductions you can get some good buys.
You can find some bigger furniture, appliances, tools, and some generally larger items here that you wouldn't find at the other thrift stores in town, but they also have lots of clothes, home décor, and some glass case items.
Their staff is typically friendly, welcoming, and usually tells you what sales are happening, if any. They do have some hand written signage requesting children be attended, etc. but I have never felt unwelcome...
Read moreProbably the worst thrift store in town for a few different reasons. Very overpriced. The "dollar side" is a joke - most of it needs to be thrown in a dumpster. The clothing is erratically thrown onto racks with visible filth and zero organization - all with a hefty price tag. You probably won't find a pair of shoes for under $20 that doesn't look like it was pulled from a landfill, and even then it won't be under $15. The furniture is overpriced but wouldn't be worth spending $5 if it was. The staff is creepy and unkind - will watch you or follow you around, or will just act like having customers in the store is the biggest inconvenience of their life. The store itself is filthy. If the parking lot is cleaner than the inside of the store, you know you went wrong somewhere! It's just a huge red flag of a store. Just go to Treasures...
Read moreI came in, found a dresser. It was in the process of being cleaned up (had stickers, crayon scribbled on it like it was a child's dresser at one time) I asked the gal in front if she knew when it would be ready to sell? She said no. I asked if she knew how much it cost? I don't know. Can I put down a deposit? No. I leave frustrated. Back the next morning at opening time. I asked a gentleman how much? he said $100 not cleaned up, $180 if it was cleaned up. I told him about the conversation I had the day before. We went and looked at it. It did still have a small amount of crayon on it. He discounted it a bit which I'm thankful but considering the frustration and I tried to put down a deposit. I think I should have got it for the $100. Maybe train the employees? Unfortunately, most everything is way...
