The constant sales and discounts (hello, 40% off coupons!) make it so easy to splurge on quality without breaking the bank.
But what really made this trip unforgettable was the kindness of the staff. The employees at my local Hobby Lobby werenât just helpfulâthey were experts. One associate guided me through the gaming decor aisle, offering spot-on recommendations and even suggesting budget-friendly framing options for the posters I picked out. Their passion for the products shines through!
Then came the moment that melted my heart. At checkout, I realized I was just under a dollar short after digging through my purse. Embarrassed, I hurried to my car to scrounge up change, but before I could return, the sweetest cashier stepped in and covered the difference herself. When I tried to repay her, she smiled, waved it off, and said, âGod bless you.â Her generosity wasnât just about the moneyâit was a reminder that there are still wonderfully kind people in this world.

   Read moreSo I just wanted to unfortunately point out laziness today because that the climate we live in. I came in to look for a jewelry tool. A coworker said to me a lady had come in and bought the last two. I asked him if he could call the apopka hobby lobby to see if they had it before I drove all the way over there. So he went to ask his manager or another coworker. His manager stated we don't do that and we are not allowed. I then proceeded to ask you can't call your own company store up the street to verify an item is in stock? he said no its not allowed. I then retorted that's bad customer service and sounds odd. I brushed it off but didn't believe it and left and called the apopka hobby lobby myself. I drove up 436 to the apopka store to pick up the hotfix tool they held for me and asked their manager if their stores are not allowed to call each other to ask about and item in stock and he said he's never heard of that rule we are allowed and are happy to do so for their customers. Why is it sooo hard for employees or just people to provide good customer service? Just WHYYY? People really choose the lazy way out and has resulted in this review. it's exhausting and quite honestly sad. Not to mention the employee in the back step out to see who I was after telling his employee to tell me they don't call other hobby lobby's. I could have assumed he was also profiling me as well, but he didn't even bother to come out prior to assist so I deemed it as straight up lack of integrity and laziness to assist a customer who loves the brand but now has had an experience that has tainted my perception on hobby lobby and altamonte springs staff's work ethic. I noticed that every time they makes mistake for ~ 1$. Itâs not that much so I never told them. After my last visit I noticed that I donât have 4 items with total cost 10$. I came back and asked to explain me what items are missing or to give me refund. One lady said that it was food colour but I didnât buy any of them that time so she lied to me. After that they called manager Josh. He was absolutely unfriendly and didnât want to listen me or to help. He refused to give me refund for items that I never had and to show me a video from that day. Absolutely ridiculous situation. Itâs first time Iâve ever seen this happened with customers.
Also employees doesnât know how to work. They couldnât help me to find gouache paint because they didnât know what was that. During return process cashiers always âforgetâ to refund for all items. Every time I need to check everything. I needed to return 5 items today but they gave me refund only for 3 because they forgot about others. After that cashiers charged me for wrong items so I needed to come back to the store to take my money back.
It was my favourite store. I used to go there every month and spend at least 200$ but after all this situations I am not going to go there anymore.
