I wasnāt going to leave this review because I love this place, but after what a stylist IN ANOTHER location told me about a NOTE that was posted at the Salon Services under my name, I need to do what is right. On February 26th, I scheduled a hair appointment (color and bangs) with Primavera. During the appointment she was pretty nice, and we had a very good conversation. Nevertheless, she MUTILATED my bangs, to the point that when I was looking at the mirror at what she was doing (she was cutting my bangs in the same way that I used to cut my hair WHEN I WAS 9 years old, I was kind of confused by that), off of frustration, I started crying and told her to please stop. My bangs were a completely destroyed. She looked at me confused and oblivious of what she was doing, and my response was āthis looks so bad, I have a photo shoot coming up.ā What really threw me off was her response to that, āel pelo creceā (Spanish for the hair will grow). Like miss maāam, WHAT?! I went to the register, still crying and looking at the floor because my hair looked so bad. The lady at the register asked me how much for tip, and I sure did say āplease look at this and let me knowā¦ā as I was raising my head and looked at her, she saw that I was crying and how BAD the hair looked and said āIām sorry, let me get the cut service out of the receipt,ā and she started walking to the salon. She turned back to the register and said āyou know what? Itās okay, you can leave. Iām sorry.ā And I left.
Sure the hair grows, but telling that to a customer is very VERY unprofessional. Iāve been going to Ulta at Altamonte for YEARS. Iāve had EXCELLENT services from SEVERAL of their stylists: Patrick, Tae, Aline, Priya, just to mention a few. It took a month for me to go to a different location to try to fix the mess she did, and when that stylist was giving me the receipt told me what Primavera had posted in the system under my account: that I didnāt let her finish and I left without paying. First of all Primavera, you know what you did to my hair; and second I was going to pay, the lady at the register told me that it was okay and that I can leave. So I did. Stop the lies.
Ulta, please do something. This is NOT her first mess. If you donāt know how to do something, just donāt do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTLTR: I had a service that was cancelled due to poor communication and the store did a great job of making everything right in the end. I want to preface this post by saying Iām not crazy but I do really enjoy good customer service and a company that can fix their wrongdoing. That being said, I had made a make up service appointment 2 months ahead for my very good friends wedding. After making that appointment, I would often call to confirm that it could occur on the date and time I chose and needed. Fast forward to a few days before the appointment, I get a call from the make up artist saying she unfortunately could not do it that day as the website had her available when she was not. She then informed me that she had communicated with another make up artist that confirmed the time and service I needed and all was okay. Fast forward to the day of the appointment, Iām outside of Ulta knocking on the window(thatās how youāre supposed to let them know you have an appointment before they open)the manager opened the door to check on me and made me aware that no appointments are on the books for that morning. I was shocked and disheartened because time was ticking SOOO FAST and I needed to start something. The manager was very nice and was able to get someone(a benefit bar employee)to come in and help. Although time was extremely low at this point, the employee that was put in this situation did her absolute best while profusely apologizing(I am very appreciative of her) and she was able to finish and I was able to pay fast. I was late to the wedding BUT I want to point out that the manager did the best with what she could do in the situation, the employee called in was very willing to help and kind, and the following day when I gave feedback, the store operations manager was very happy to take the feedback and make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give this store no stars, I would. First, at least the employees are a little nicer now. One time I had an employee belittle me in front of another one while they both smiled about it.
But my main concern is the theft of my bank card information, which was used to purchase the same item I had bought in the store a couple of days earlier in another state!
I came into the store after work one evening to buy an eyeliner. They didnāt have anymore in stock so the cashier gleefully asked me if I wanted her to order it for me. Considering the absolute horror show regarding the last order at Christmas time (at which time I said I would NEVER order from them again - this being the second order of only four orders I had ever made with them that was either not what I ordered or missing products - thatās a 50% fail rate!) Nevertheless, I said she could. So she ordered it and UPS said it was delivered to my mailbox on Sunday, Memorial Day weekend. Of course I knew that could not be true but checked my mailbox anyway and nothing. Two days later they said it was delivered again to my mailbox but then charged my card for the same item at a store in Illinois!
I contacted my bank immediately and cancelled my card. The Fraud Division investigated and returned my money. But I am still waiting for my bank card weeks later and have been inconvenienced for over half a month because a cashier at Ulta used my bank card information! (I wonder if she knows my receipt has her name on it?) Fraud much?
BEWARE if using your bank card (debit or credit)...
