I find it interesting the previous review was not good. I myself have been a US Cellular customer for almost 4 years. My wife has been their customer for over 6 years. I keep getting requests from US Cell to share my most recent experience satisfaction. Just had one a few days ago. Despite always sharing it has been horrible corporate makes no attempt to follow up. Or change their tactics. One of several issues I’ve had to deal with them is in regard to a contract I signed over the phone. They made me the customer spend hours dissecting my bills to clearly show my contract cycle and my wife’s contract cycle cannot be different. The contract completed the 30 month cycle last August. One attempt I made at the corporate store in Altoona to discuss their mistake was met with one of their employees yelling at me they don’t do contracts anymore. Walked away and glared at me with a look of if I don’t leave he’s calling the police. I eventually talked through the discrepancy with a customer service manager on the phone. Despite her initial objections I clearly pointed out they didn’t start my wife’s new contract correctly. I paid off her previous stand alone contract to start a new one with both of us on the same contract with exact same start date and delivery date of the phones. I dealt with customer service for over 2 years about the end date discrepancy. They would tell me my wife didn’t activate her phone when it arrived. They said it didn’t arrive same as when my new phone did. Any and all of their explanations were incorrect and made no sense. If you go through a franchise store perhaps you can get better service. If you go to a US Cell corporate store in person to resolve any issues they will tell you to call corporate customer service. On the flip side if you’re told by a phone customer service rep the corporate store will help and your closest one is…and you go there with the understanding you will receive personalized face to face customer service it most likely won’t happen. Corporate store reps are there for one reason and one reason only. To sell plans and phones. Not any level of customer support. And oh by the way. Since my wife had a single user US Cell contract, despite me negotiating and signing the contract for both of us they refuse to either add me as the account owner or even a co-owner unless my wife signs a release form and they do a hard pull on my credit. I’ve offered to show them my credit score with reports from the credit reporting bureaus but they refuse. My score is higher than 99% of all credit scores. I signed and negotiated the contract that was under dispute but yet they won’t change the account ownership status. To close out. I’m going to...
Read moreTerrible customer service experience. My entire phone screen had shattered, so I filed an insurance claim, received the new phone, and took it into this US Cellular to activate. They were done activating it when I asked to purchase a screen protector for it (makes sense, considering I shattered my last one). They didn't have a screen in inventory for my specific model. Two gentlemen then told me that if I purchased a screen protector, I could bring back in and that someone could put it on for me - as long as I didn't hold them liable if it wasn't put on correctly, etc. I said no worries - completely understand that, I'll be back. I go back 3 days later with a screen protector. First, I walk in and just hear "Yes?" Trying to figure out where it's coming from, I peer around the table, and I see a female employee sitting down. I walk across the store, meet here where she is sitting, and I kindly ask her to put a phone screen on my phone (thinking no big deal - others employees told me to do this). She instantly gets an attitude and says "We don't do that." I told her what I had been told a couple of days ago, and she asked what location, and I informed her that exact one. She said "Nope, company policy, sorry. They were wrong." But then, she proceeds to tell me that she doesn't feel comfortable doing it. So I ask if it is a comfort thing, or policy, and she avoided the question. I asked if ANYONE there could assist me and she said "Nope, sorry!". Frustrated, I went back to my car, called the US Cellular that is less than a mile away and the kindest gentleman said "Of course we can help you! Bring it on in." They put the phone screen on within seconds. So my recommendation, if you are in Altoona, and needing to go to US Cellular, go to the one at 301 Center Pl. by Hy Vee and...
Read moreI haven't ever felt so mislead by a sales rep at US Cellular as I feel I was at this location. The worst part is I feel he is a manager at this location here on 8th st in Altoona. I am new to Altoona. I went in there told this guy that. Asked about there internet foe my house. He told me he could set me up with great internet coverage thru an Orbi router he sent home with me. He told me if I hooked it up for automatic payment each month that it would be 55.00 each month for unlimited service and that included everything each month. Not one time has the payment been 55.00 and I can't watch a movie without constant buffering. I even went back to store before 30 days were up for having it and questioned him. I told him it is constant buffering. I was given a different SD card for it to put in. Then I had to go back in When I got first bill as it showed past due. What? How can it be past due. You set it up for automatic payment????? We went thru the whole process again of gathering my info. Assured me the next month they would take 55.00. Well it was 68.00 something, and now the bill I got this week is 73.00 plus and I can't even watch a movie on it without constant buffering. An issue discussed 3 times with sales reps. Ugh. I hate to complain or waste my only morning off in there again tomorrow for a resolution. With these same people. Anyone else have US Cellular 55.00 unlimited plan have the same results without any real care from reps to resolve the issues?????? Not only are they in my bank account with drawing whatever, but it doesnt even work properly. Frustrated. Tomorrow I intend to box it back up and take it back. So upset with them. Long long time...
