I went into the store to make a return and it took 20 minutes with one cashier who keep calling for help over the intercom as there was quite a line. She was very slow with each transaction which didn't help the situation but I felt bad as she clearly was trying. After the transaction there was a product we wanted to get and took a bit of time to look around as the line was still quite long. When we were ready to pay the line to check out wrapped through the entire check out walk way and was coming into the front of the store. Again there was still only one very slow cashier who kept calling for the manager. I left the line to look for another associate to help. I looked through the entire store twice before finding a man who was trying to hide that he worked there. As I began explaining the length of the line and the other associate was calling for help he said we would just have to deal with it as everyone else was working in the back, and that was more of a priority. As we were having this conversation another guest came up and heard what he was saying and told him she was in line for the last 30 minutes and 3 people around her left there items and left the store because of how long it was taking. He said he would tell the manager. We went back in line and kept waiting. We waited for another 10 minutes when my toddler needed to use the restroom. By the time we got back to the line, we were in the same spot behind the same people. The manager finally came up and helped the cashier clear something off the register and started to leave the front again with only 1 cashier and the line wrapping the front of the store. A guest by us asked if he would help get the line down and he said no because he might be needed elsewhere. At that point we had been waiting in line for at least 30 minutes, had moved 5 feet and a group of 5 customers including myself left their merchandise and left the store. I originally purchase a living rug from this store 2 days ago with the understanding that "the store has a 30 day return policy". PLEASE, don't believe, don't trust them! As soon as I walk into the store a girl named Gabriela told me that she will see if she could take it back. I immediately new that she will come up with an excuse to disallow the return even though it is only 2 days after and the rug was never used by me. The reason why I decided to return it obeyed to a simple fact; it does it go well with my current furniture and most important it look like was used by someone else other that me; call it however you want it but I don't buy second. Upon getting to the register she mention that she had disallowed the return because the carpet was burn and smell like smoke! I I told her that: I have never smoke and she showed a little stain, CUSTOMERS NEED TO BE AWARE TO CHECK every product carefully to prevent being mistreated like I was today. I was forced to call the police as she did not return my money. I left the rug, took pictures, file the claim and most important I am taking this girl to court for defamation.    Read moreI had a very bad experience here. The Manager who is a boy or girl I really can’t tell was extremely rude. She mad my experience here at home goods a horrible one. I arrived early as they were stocking there was a blanket I saw and asked for it. Her staff was extremely rude to me and yelling at me saying they won’t stock it. Then I go to check out I wanted to place a few items on hold she then told me that wasn’t allowed when I’ve done this before. Then as I’m checking out she then calls an associate to price check my items. I was already in a hurry and wasn’t able to purchase my items because she was taking so long calling other associates. Never have I ever been priced checked and never have I had such a bad experience with this manager. She really needs to work on her customer service as well as her staff who was a young red head. She has so much unnecessary attitude towards a customer. My money is what pays your check. The staff here needs training and a new manager who knows what good customer service looks like. I’ve spent over 20k at this store just these last 3 months and this is not okay for me a loyal customer to be treated poorly. Management needs to address this asap.
